A few day's ago I posted a topic on here about how I e-mailed Nintendo about the grass problem. Many people said I wouldn't get a response, but I actually did. Here is the response:
I've got the answer: people run around too much. It's not one towns degrades faster than the other, they all degrade equally, it's solely dependent upon how much you play and how you run and where your destination is. If you run from neighbor house to neighboring house all will-nilly then you'll surely wear the grass away.
My grass is great. All the trails I use is warn so people know where to go BUT the grass everywhere is starting to wear just from normal fruit picking!!! And the grass will never grow back you know!! So by next christmas a lot of people will have nothing but dirt
