Aside from it having to be in the bottom half and accessible part of the map, I feel there was enough variety to find a workable location. It would be nice if possible, but atleast we knew beforehand. I suppose it has a more technical reason with programming or something. Like with planned events and stuff, I dunno.

i’m content with my location but it would be a nice option to have

yeah there a certain limitations which i’m not entirely fond of in a game which prides itself on having your island be completely malleable and customizable, like cliff/waterfall placement and the fact you can’t touch the plaza or border of your island

I feel like it has something to do with buildings taking a day to build, and it wouldn't make sense having an inaccessible town hall for an entire day.

But Nintendo can just have Tom Nook & Isabelle set up a temporary tent (with ABD/Nook Mile Register) while it's being built.

Just a thought Nintendo if possible! :3

Edit: or just have the old building up and running while the new location is being built haha idk but i think the devs can work smth out if they wanted to not a big deal but i rly hate the location of mine bahahaha

I thought maybe that certain NPC's are always on the plaza, but maybe if you can relocate it later it screws the programming over, but your explanation makes way more sense.
