I wanted the console so bad because I missed the poptart 3ds, and I was really bummed about not being able to snag a US preorder for the switch. But honestly, after seeing the unboxing vid the only part I like about the new switch is the embossing on the back of the console... So I've decided to keep my og switch and customize/re-shell it instead. Made me feel way better about missing preorders.

Where I live there is this offer that you can bring in your "old" Switch and you pay just ?149 for the new Switch ACNH bundle. It's a pretty good deal, since the game costs ?60 anyway so you're paying around ?90 for the Switch upgrade. You can do the same with a Switch Lite for ?249.

I just pre-ordered the ACNH special edition because I was afraid it would sell out and I need a Switch anyway, so I might as well get this one for ?10 more instead of an all-black one I still need to customise.

Anyway if people already have a switch what’s the point in buying it? You’ll just be wasting your money on something you don’t need because you already have a Nintendo switch, it’s best to save your money.

Not pounding my chest, but this will be my third. I have one in my classroom to host Mario Kart and Smash Bros tournaments for my students, one at home my kids use mainly for Minecraft, and then I pre-ordered this as an ode to my favorite gaming series of all time.

And be fair, you did exactly what you say people shouldn't, "waste money" on something you don't need...you mentioned owning a Switch already.

i really sat here and watched that whole video despite knowing exactly what would be in it and what it would look like lol.

people have been pointing this out elsewhere since it dropped, but that was a very big reaction to the message in a bottle graphic on the back of the switch from the female host. it even sounds a little bit like they cut her off before she could say too much.

i was wondering about the lack of mail icons (despite mailboxes being present) in the inventory. what if they totally revamped messages in a bottle as special mail? attach presents like in wild world, use the touch screen to draw pictures, get and send letters to random strangers via online communications, literally write out a signature on your switch.... it probably won't happen but i'm hoping that means we're getting some excitin news about the message in a bottle. i miss it a lot.

Maybe messages in a bottle replace mail.

Hard to say. There's an article on the main site that says the Switch isn't actually a Limited Edition, at least not in Japan, and that Nintendo plans on making more. I'd venture to say March 13 won't be your lucky day, but that's not to say that'll always be the case.

Yes because you don?t need another switch if your like me who already has one and don?t have a big family or work at school...
