If they keep it until 2015, they're likely to get destroyed in the next gen race, no matter how innovative it is.
How so? Evergreen titles like Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii will keep the Wii going for years. And with Motion Plus on the way, we've only seen the beginning of what Wii can really do!
Because anyone who has really played Nintendo consoles knows they've been going downhill with the quality of their games.

That and the fact Microsoft and Sony will have a 2-3 year head start on Nintendo in the next gen, which will kill their sales. That's why Nintendo will release a new console in 2011-2012.

That and they want to whore themselves out more to casuals for more money.
Uh, Nintendo games have only been going uphill... And you do realize that Nintendo is crushing their competition right now, right? But anyway, Nintendo doesn't really care about what their competition is doing. They'll make a new console when they feel the time is right,
Which console did you first start playing Nintendo games on the most?

I've always played a lot of games on every Nintendo console... First the NES, then SNES, N64, GCN, now Wii... All pretty much the same.

lolno

The quality of games from the NES-N64 era were godlike. Now they're "meh" at best. Nintendo are only trying to sell themselves out to make more money, rather than appealing to what the core crowd wants. I know more people who used to be hardcore Nintendo fans who essentially neglect or have sold their Wii because there's nothing good on it than people who use it primarily and somewhat enjoy it.

And your comment about Nintendo crushing its competition is just plain false. If it was crushing its opposition, why do games on both consoles outsell Wii games? Halo 3 in its first weekend alone made as much money as the Wii had up to that point and continued to make more.

This is what I think about Nintendo "crushing" its competition. Now before anyone says anything, I love Nintendo. It's the only company I purchase games and systems from because Microsoft and Sony don't bring out enough games that peak my interest. So yeah, I'm not trying to sound mean. This is just what I think is the cause for their "crushing" of the other companies currently...

Nintendo "doesn't know" how to properly market its games and consoles. If you notice, there aren't enough Wii's being shipped out to meet the demand of the consumer. Same goes for games. That means that when they are out, they'll sell big until the consumer can no longer purchase said items.

For example, the Wii Fit is a huge and vastly popular game wanted by many people. However when it's distributed to Gamestop and anywhere else that sells them, the numbers they get don't come close to a satisfying amount. At most I've seen come in are two or three at a time. Because of this the demand for them goes up.

When the game does come out, you have many people running around trying to get the last one before the wait comes yet again. This also works to help boost the prices on their games and consoles.

As I said earlier, the marketing for Nintendo is very low. However... it's also good marketing strategy. It makes their products wanted even more because there is a low amount of them. It's how they're making more money and how they're crushing any competition right now (if you call it crushing competition).

I may be wrong. But I'm not really sure. This is all just a big hunch on my part. XD
