Maybe you never actually bought it? TT'ing forward is no different than than waiting for the same amount of time to pass since the game syncs with the clock. It shouldn't affect anything
I always TT to the day after to pick up my art before time traveling any further. Did you go directly to the next day or bypass that day all together? That may be the reason it's not showing up for you.
