I don't know if anyone has posted anything like this here or not, but I just want to warn people to be very careful on other sites, like Reddit! I actually got one of my villagers (my previous Ankha :'() taken by someone. I needed someone to hold her while i reset my town. After they got her, the person went and deleted their account off reddit and me off of their friends list! Please be very careful! Don't end up like me, resetting your town for a specific villager!

When you're on reddit you can always check someone's post history. If they have only one post karma and they're a new user, you don't have to exchange FC's with them. Some scammers PM people, because their FC's are banned on the subreddit(s). Reddit also has their own blacklists so you can also check that too.

On any site, you should always check with the blacklist before doing a trade with a new user, just to make sure their FC isn't on that list. This sort of thing happened all the time when I frequented gamefaqs. I'm sorry this happened to you
