Trading Octavian for Lucky (or free if....)

So by friday if I can not find a trade for my Octavian for lucky, I will be giving him away.
I almost did a trade, but didn't feel comfortable. as the person only had 145 posts and said I had to give him my guy first! which I would have done but it seemed iffy :/ I have always given away my villagers first in trades, and he said he did not trust me so! well here I am again going for another try! hes all yours Ill TT him out once I get the go ahead! if not hes free to a good home

And agreed, that's weird.
Even when I had no refs and like 3 posts, no one /demanded/ I go first.
I mean I did go first, but it was just assumed, but yeah, it sounds like it might have been a scam D:

ya he was like "Sorry, even if you're well known. I can't go trusting some randomer if they can't keep their end of the bargain"

but im suppose to trust someone with 145 posts? not gonna happen! I would have totally TTed him out and kept him in boxes until lucky was in boxes ya know, if it was that serious! people on here know me and know I give away villagers and would never scam anyone.

I /think/ the issue was more in his insistence she go first despite higher refs.
When someone tells you "you go first" when you have more credentials it's a bit fishy, whether it really is a case of fishiness, or just paranoia.

*Plus I did read the VMs and I would be a bit paranoid trading mine first too. Not because I'm 'more trustworthy' but because of his reasoning. 'My town would be full if I TT'd to get lucky out' (from whatIunderstand) Sounds like he didn't know that the 10th spot can only be filled from the campsite/villager from another town or something. :/

He just seemed like he didn't really know how to do a trade, that or, he misunderstood you. He never said he didn't trust you until after you brought up "I'm a top member on this site...etc" Even then, that was probably him just feeling a bit offended.
