Sorry that I'm posting, but there's a rule that you aren't allowed to like posts in mafia (I think) and it's been broken quite a lot in the past few games at least. Or if there isn't a rule, please don't do it because it floods my notifications and it's just annoying.

OK, I'll go back to being dead now.

Since I'm merely spectating and this is an interesting confluffle, perhaps it's best we talk about it here?

Can't say I've ever felt like the dead were nudging me along by liking posts, typically big contributive posts get likes because holy **** someone is contributing and typically ****posts/low effort jokes get liked because we're all dirty memers.

I personally have liked either ****posts or messages telling Obs to shut up when I'm dead. I've found liking longer posts to be kind of dicey b/c they could like it for their sheer effort or because they agree with their points. There's basically no misinterpertation in liking ****posts

Imo, any post that doesn't have any bearing on the game (**** posts, mod posts) should be ok, but I'd ban liking posts of any other type. Like I think Dolby's "Taco Vendor" RC is fine to like, but anything else posted by players could get misconstrude would be no bueno.

In all honesty, I didn't have the intent of trying to point the game anywhere by liking posts.

I know, but intentions nor that specific instance is getting discussed.

A. You may do something for a reason (and I trust you on your intensions dw), but then the person who sees you liked their post could take it a totally different way, and that reaction may or may not influence the game.
B. We're talking about the general concept of liking posts and when it shoupd/shouldn't be ok - not your likings of Oath's posts. Otherwise you'd see us mention you two a lot more
