Old Villagers Visiting?

I never even knew that your old visitors can visit you, but Annalisa has been on my Main Street everyday for like a week now..

Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like she's guilt tripping me every time I talk to her.

They do that just because they like Main Street. Eventually, one of those villagers will go into your campsite and can be asked to move in again. That only happens after 16 villagers move though.

Yes, this happens daily for me. Villagers will start to appear on main street once another 4-5 villagers have moved out since they initially left your town.

Egbert has been loitering around pretty much every day for a month+. So yeah.

The thing I don't like about this feature is that, while it's the same villager that used to be in your town, it clearly is not the same individual. They still know your name, but they talk only about visiting to shop and they never call you by the nickname they used to call you, or use the catch phrase or greeting you taught them. They also go back to wearing their default character clothes, regardless of whatever they used to wear when they lived in your village. That Shari I see every day on my Main Street is not MY Shari, she is an impostor.
