One Major idea that the TBT should have here

So one thing I noticed with many other online games is how you can buy online currency using real money, like the TBT should have that, and I really need TBT and I miss out on most collectibles, and my mom and dad have tons of money, so it would be a fair idea to do, not to mention how it would benefit some other people

also, doing that would put a set monetary value on the TBT, and as such, goods and services you can buy with it. which is something the staff absolutely do NOT want happening

even if it already does happen to some degree anyways, just not set

its not fair, not everyone has money to spend on tbt, the earning way is already fair considering everyone can get rich by just posting.

also, what I'm saying is be patient

there are undoubtedly problems with the current market system, but letting users purchase TBT wouldn't improve anything. all it'd do is end up creating an even bigger market rift and/or cause market prices to plummet in the same way the IGB market has compared to the TBT market

What do you mean I can't afford anything on this forum, I'm broke, but in the real world my mother buys me what ever I want, yes my parents I'm sure can afford TBT lol

This is something many people have tried to say needs to happen before so people can get annoyed when they see a topic come up multiple times.

If you really are depressed and suicidal, please talk to someone in your family that can get you help from a professional. I would also suggest logging off TBT and not coming back until you feel better because I can promise that people on this site are not going to be sparing.

Lambda's basically saying it would damage the TBT economy further... not that you can't afford it.

I mean, it would be good because the mods would finally get paid, but it would damage the economy unless there was a way to cap it.

but to add one more point, I'd also honestly say new users actually have it incredibly good in terms of easing into the market. though you have to make an honest and serious attempt at it yourself too

Jared, this is a forum. We post and make TBT Bells that way. I fail to see how this would be a fair idea. I'll do a little theoretical situation for you.

Let's say that the Staff decides to start selling TBT Bells for what's considered a reasonable price, for the sake of argument, we'll set the exchange rate to $1 for 50 TBT Bells. You notice this, and you convince your parents to spend $40 so you can purchase some bells. You now have 2000 TBT Bells! Amazing, now you can start purchasing the collectibles you want. So you go looking for what you want. For the sake of argument, let's say you go looking for an Apple, going for roughly 2000 TBT Bells right now.

But wait! When you go to the Marketplace, all the Apples are selling for 5000 now! What happened? It's a massive influx of currency, that's what.

You see, when you inject more money into a very small, closed economy like this one, you get inflation. You will not be the only person who purchases TBT Bells, and you will definitely not be the person who spends the most on them.

Prices will rise when there is more currency in the market. The sellers can sell for more because there is more currency, and the buyers will be more willing to pay more.

Jared, I'd suggest you take the advice of ShinyYoshi and take some time away from the computer, especially if you're feeling depressed to the point of wanting to hurt yourself. I understand you've been upset lately and feel like everyone has cool collectibles aside from you, but posting about how wealthy your family is over and over again is bound to rub people the wrong way. Just chill for a bit and come back when you've calmed down.

On topic, the ability to purchase TBT bells with actual money isn't something that we plan to implement any time in the near future.
