Only Letters in Username Change?

Are only letters allowed when changing your username? I've seen people with special characters like spaces and various punctuation, but I can't type them on the configuring username change page...

There is a bug in username changes that isn't allowing special characters be used in usernames despite you can register with one.

Yes, there's currently an issue with the system when it comes to name changes if they involve a space or symbol of any kind. We're working on a fix for this, but for the time being they'd have to be changed manually by an admin if you want anything more than standard text.

I'm happy to do it for you as long as the desired name isn't in use, just PM me the username you'd like to use.
