Splatoon Opinion on clam blitz

For the moment I have a friend switch while I get my own
And so I was playing clam blitz

Honestly I like it though required a good teammates

So what your opinion on it?

I like it- when in doesn't set me on a massive losing streak due to its verity from the other 3 modes that is.

In it speed is everything in fact, Cb is the only mode in which I actually main one wepon only. Then inkbursh nouveau. because massive leads come from *9 clams run up to their goal grab the last one then Blam! We broke the barrier!* And the speed to do it.

whenever i play ranked battles its usually tower control or splat zones, so i'm not really used to clam blitz. once you understand how to play it, though, it's pretty fun! i was very confused when i first tried it, so i was mainly just irritated pft.

Actually my 8 year old brother makes it look easy so that's that. But ye it requires good teammates imo

Get 10 clams, makes a big clam. Throw big clam at the basket by pressing A.

Each small clam is 3 points, each power clam (10 small clams in a ball) is 20 points.


Once the basket closes you have to reopen it with a power clam.

Once the first shot to reopen it with a power clam is 10 points and sets up a timer which you get rid of by throwing more clams.

Once the timers gone you start lowering the score again.


First to 0, or lowest score, wins.

Honestly I find it pretty easy and I don't understand why people don't pass clams but I guess they just don't know how to ?

Press A... Did you even try playing it yet cause you could've figured that out just by pressing all the buttons or reading the instructions

This mode ( as in the battles ) is so unpredictable then the other 3 that I tend to stick to avoiding it..

I knew it didn’t go in but I didn’t think of it as a strategy to pass it

You know, I hated the mode the first couple of times that I played it. I didn't understand that you needed the football to penetrate the barrier -- I was just shooting it LOL

Eventually I figured it out, and it's pretty fun. Definitely requires a coordinated team. Sometimes everyone is on the offense/defense, when you really need an equal balance of each.

I have a love-hate relationship with Clam Blitz. While it's fun when you have a good team and also a nice stage, it's sucks when you have a bad team and a stage which is not really "player friendly" (= a stage where there aren't any ways to save yourself fast from enemies attacks or
a complicated way to their basket). I somehow managed to get the S rank, but sometimes falling back to A+ rank.

It's one of my least favorite ranked battles for sure but I do enjoy it with friends in private battle with no tryhards lol

It's okay, not really my favorite mode in the game, but I can work with it.

I’m terrible at it so I usually just team up with one other person and support them by backing them up and passing snails when I see them making their way there with under 10 clams. Diversions with one team mate holding the power clam are fun to play out if they work. Then I just go back and defend the base when needed. I’m usually not the one to start the push..haha but I love backing people up with bubble blower or moving with another person with power ball and baller special. I rather play CB in private battles though.

You can team up with me any time! I don't tend to rely on my teammates much, I just go in and break the barrier solo most of the time. But sometimes it's difficult because they'll have like three people waiting for me at the goal and I don't stand much of a chance. lol
