So! Hello and good morning. :)

I currently run my main island on a Switch Lite. I was/am considering running a second island (yes, on a second switch system) to be able to give my main island things like all the fruit furniture recipes/starting home recipes/etc.
Thoughts?

I am the only person who plays on my switches.

i think that'll be fine, but i don't think u actually get a physical recipe for the fruit furniture (nook just sends it to u) u can also use the second island for its native flower for flower breeding as well. i think that if u were just using the second town for that and then deleting it for more options it'll be fine, but if u were to actively play 2 islands it might be a bit more difficult (but still doable). there rly isn't anything stopping u, so go ahead!!

that’s what im currently doing right now lmao! honestly i spend more time on my “main” island and progress more slowly on my second island, it works because when you run out of things to do you can just switch to the other island and see what needs to be done. plus it’s good to get native fruit/flowers and other stuff your other island doesn’t have

At first I thought you meant you could be given the task of setting up operations on a new island for Nook, which would open up a port on the pier, so you can visit a bunch of islands under your domain. That would be cool.

Two islands would be way too much work for me. I already need to scratch together the time for one island.

lowkey bragging about the fact you have two switches XD

It's honestly up to you. There's no downsides to it, as long as you have the time to juggle two islands.

I did it because I was disappointed in the 3 moveins and no villagers on island tours after that on my original switch lite game. I didn't know how it worked before it happened.

I've been trying to run a second island on my OG switch and trying to catch it up and let me tell you, it is hell. It's extremely time consuming to do to do your Nook Miles and keep up with the materials. It made a lot more sense with the older games because you didn't have to keep harvesting materials to make furniture and tools, but here you're doing more material grind and tool breaking in half the time. It's actually making me enjoy the game less.

It's far too exhausting for me and I'm going to have to decide which island to kill off now because I can't keep up with both. It shouldn't be a hard decision but it is, because by now I've become invested in both islands and they both have their pros and cons.
