Unlike Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Tomodachi Life is best played for a few minutes per day. If you're expecting anything more substantial than putting Miis through bizarre scenarios, then the game's being pretty light on content will likely disappoint you.
It’s pretty boring. Animal Crossing: New Leaf is way better. Honestly, you’ll get bored of Tomodachi Life in about a week. It isn’t a game worth purchasing. It’ll be fun at first, but it’ll lose it’s excitement.

But it can get boring at times and annoying all that stupid fighting!
If you get the game, I recommend not getting too many Miis (the max is 100), the game will punish you..by making the miis do nothing but fighting each other.
The game does not get super boring in a week because they are so many things to unlock and it gets better when you put more miis living on the island. That's another thing you get to name your own island and you can have your miis to go on dates and soon they'll have a wedding then have babies. The game is very silly and funny, like the miis will make silly faces, they'll fart sometimes, you can make them wear any kind of silly clothes and you can make your own song for the miis to sing.
I have few music bands in that game.
Soon after awhile when you unlock everything in the game it will get boring just like Animal Crossing.
If I was you, i'll get the game because it will make you happy and it makes my sister happy and she likes the game a lot.
Just play the demo (I believe there is one right?) and if you love it and I really mean love it, then get it!
If you just like the game then just pass because you'll be done with it within a week or so like me.
Play the demo/Welcome version if you MUST try it, but yeah unless you like dropping Mii's around and even more repetitive chores than New Leaf, I wouldn't really get it unless someone buys it for you I guess.
I have it and it's a lot of fun, I played it for a long time without getting bored. Everyone's got different tastes in games, so I always suggest trying a demo if one's available. People have told me that certain games were bad and not to buy them and I ended up loving them, or it was great and I was so disappointed.
But yeah, tomadachi is a fun pick up and play game. Stuff changes in the shops daily so you check in everyday for new stuff. You try to figure out what the miis like so you can give them presents. They fight and you have to help them make up, or cheer them up when they're sad. They go on dates and get married and have kids. My mom married Mr. Bean and my dad married Jigglypuff. I make really ugly characters and try to get them together to see how ugly their babies will be. It's also just really weird, the miis say and do weird stuff, it's a lot of fun.
Tomodachi Life was a game I bought when I was really depressed. It helped me a bit because the Miis did such ridiculous things sometimes and it made me smile. You only will play it for a few minutes a day. It has less time investment than Animal Crossing.
The only bad thing about it really is that, if you're an item collector, it's annoying. It has a LOT of items that are locked behind StreetPassing people, and so are pretty much impossible to get now. I lived in Japan during the time it first came out and was able to get a ton of the items (Tokyo is super great for StreetPass), but even then, I was never able to get 100%.
I played it for about a year until I got really bored with it. During the time I played it, I did really enjoy it. And since I was able to sell it for a decent price, I think I definitely got my money's worth.
Not sure if I'd even consider it a "game". There's not much you can actually do in it. Still love it. I've gotten really attached to Chunk, Ruffian, Lipton and all my other characters on Dozer Island. But, yeah, it's definitely not a game you play for longer sessions.
well, of course tomodachi life isn't as (insert whatever descriptive here) as animal crossing. tomodachi life isn't animal crossing! of course if you buy it expecting it to have just as much and similar content to animal crossing, you're gonna have a bad time. i, personally, enjoy tomodachi life for what it is: a fun little quirky my sims esque game. if that sounds like something u might enjoy, give it a try!
I've personally never played tomodahi life but I hear it's very similar to animal crossing New leaf and the other animal crossing games, which I definitely love! I've been thinking about getting it for a while but now I think I'm going to get ultra Sun or moon instead as I've wanted them for a hot minute now.
I remember playing it pretty religiously the summer it came out, but I don't recall really playing much after that. It was pretty fun though I must admit. My favorite thing to do was do the little musical things and put my own lyrics 0u0
i played it addictively when i first got it. me and everyone in my friend group loved it to bits, but i have hyperfixations. i fixated on that for a bit before something else pulled my attention and i eventually forgot about it. but overall? fun and good game!
