Opinions on a Bell Tree Premium?

So, what is your opinions on a something like a Bell Tree Premium? I know that SmashBoards has something like that where you get special benefits for running it and other stuff. I'm not opposed to it if they keep everything how it is now but premium could give us special perks as well. Here are some ideas for some perks:

- Bigger signatures/avatars allowed
- Longer statuses
- Access to a special board (or even additional special events during events for premium)
- 1.x times more bells
- A special shop where we could purchase special collectibles like new ones and collectibles that were for a limited time.

I think it would be nice and the staff could put that money towards the forums (like this) and such. I was thinking it could be like $2.50 monthly because the cheaper it is, the more likely someone would buy it. What do you guys think?

Eh, well as much as I'd like larger avatars it seems to be staff only anyway and yeah I don't want to pay more for just those features, I'd rather put that on something else.

I’m pretty much indifferent to it. I wouldn’t mind, but I probably wouldn’t pay for it (seeing as I already have several other monthly subscriptions to things).

I don't use the site as much as i did during the year of new leaf so i don't think a subscription plan would be a good idea, i do think that maybe collectibles that are put in the shop for real money instead of bells would be cool.

I say the paying month thing for belltree is a bad idea and I rate belltree just 4/10 because I seen a lot of people who aren't nice and who aren't nice to me and also sometimes the admins doesn't care about what people are posting about something that shouldn't be up on belltree.

I wonder if they are other websites that are better then belltree for acnl.

I think it would be a great idea in the sense that the staff would be able to earn money for all their hard work they've put into this forum over the years. Of course, I don't think they would earn a hell of a lot, but it's better than nothing. It's still something towards the I don't think it would be a bad idea to buy tbt with rlc either.

You gotta treat people how you want to be treated. I doubt if you'd find a community better than this. Also the staff rely on people reporting bad behaviour as they don't have the time to check every single thing.

Having a positive experience starts with having a positive attitude. You can't assume everyone hates you. Just enjoy your time here, and maybe even get to know the admins. They really are awesome people
And admins have busy lives so they don't always catch everything bad on this forum. Use the report button for that.


ANYWAYS this seems like an interesting idea, but personally it's not really worth spending money for a forum. I mean yeah, this forum is definitely part of my life, but it's not as big as the actual life I live every day, so spendin money for a few extra features seems useless to me (I'm the same way with like apps that day you can upgrade to "premium", like what's the point).

I think it could work, as long as the feature isn't too intrusive. I've seen membership systems that actively try to make being a non-member as unpleasant as possible. But if it was implemented correctly (and people actually bought it), it could probably help in improving the site with more events and features. I don't expect anything like this to happen in the near future though, as I'm sure the site leaders have already discussed this before.
