My Pizza Hut is not too far but I don't have a decent car.
My order cost:
SUBTOTAL $14.49
DELIVERY FEE $3.25
TAX $1.42
YOUR TOTAL $19.16

Tips usually include the price of the order, the distance, the service, the speed, and the difficulty getting to your location (weather, on top of a cliff, etc.)

I usually do $3 every time they come to my house.
What do you tip?

-One time, the pizza was an hour late. The guy went, "You want your pizza or not?" when I asked why it took so long. Didn't give him a tip.

i generally don't tip pizza or take out guys
there's not a huge tipping culture here unlike in america, tipping is considered more of an extra generosity as opposed to an obligatory charge
i mean obviously if the pizza comes to €18 or something and i give them a €20 bill i'll let them keep the change and what not, but if i have the exact change i don't feel any pressure to tip

I just picked up 5 pizzas. For the convenience I would tip $5. A lot of these people rely on tips for income. If they are nice I do what I can. Enjoy!!

Yeah, some countries (and pizza places in USA) have them already in the bill.

like 4 bucks. I'm a delivery guy myself so I know that tips are the life blood of delivery drivers. But I am also a poor college student. So yeah, usually 4 bucks

I live like 2minutes away from our local pizza hut so I just collect it myself.
No tipping for me!

It depends on how much pizza it is. I always tip 20% at restaurants so I tip about the same for pizza, but if I'm not paying with a credit card I'm not going to count out exact change so it's usually about $4-5.

It mostly depends on the delivery person. I always tip like $5 because I live out in the boonies, but I've had some really rude pizza people, and also some really nice ones.

Just give them 20 and tell them to keep the change.

They're not even in the bill here, though. If you're in a restaurant or cafe you might consider tipping your waiters, and it's generally encouraged to at least leave a small tip. But for delivery and stuff there's no extra charge, and tipping rarely if ever occurs.

It's sad that some people's livelihoods depend entirely on how much they're tipped, as it's a large part of their income. If I had to depend entirely on generosity from other people I'd go look for another job.

Yeah, that's why I want to avoid ever working in a "tipping" job if I can avoid it. So many people are bad tippers (and I live in America so it's expected that you tip) and it makes me mad because people like waiters make less than minimum wage and they NEED those tips. I've gone out to eat with my friends before and had them not even bother to tip; I felt so guilty I left a tip in their place.

I tip pretty good usually, but it also depends on where I order the pizza. From the "Mom & Pop" pizza place I tip higher.

usually like $3-$5 depending on the time it took, the attitude of the delivery person, etc.

I just let them keep whatever change they have leftover so it's quicker, so it could be 10 dollars or 10 cents.. One time I told a woman to keep the change and she said "we're not really supposed to" so idek lmao

What is up with all the pizza threads lately

Anyway, I don't have to tip because I pick mine up from the restaurant, but in your situation, I'd go with the standard: about 15%.

I always tip kind of a lot unless the person is really rude, but that's never happened before. It depends how much money I have on me too, but I usually give like $5-8, sometimes a bit more if they're super nice.

don't tip, its unusual to tip delivery guys in britain. I find it stupid, because all they do is deliver the pizza, right? It's not like at a restaurant where the server might be really nice to you, and friendly and bring out all your food on time, so you decide to tip them.
