Ordering from Wardell

I'm trying to figure out what items are available from Wardell. I thought it was just items that were in our catalog but that doesn't seem to be the case. For example in my nook catalog I had 2 items from the nordic series but when I talked to Wardell there were 5 nordic items I could order. Can someone help me out here please? Thanks

One word "RNG" sometimes you may get new items from Nook Cranny's or Wardell but other times you may get the same items you already seen and get. Trust me I've been doing this for a while and my luck is so bad because I keep getting the same items each time.

You're able to order any reorderable furniture and wallpaper/flooring that you're able to use in the HHP vacation homes in Wardell's catalog, whereas Nook's Catalog only allows you to view and order anything that you've actually cataloged.

i was thinking that but the nordic low table isnt there to order. really weird

You also get every variation of items in Wardell's shop, and all items you've unlocked in HHP, and your catalog.

I couldn't order the simple wall shelf from Wardell for some reason, even though I "unlocked" it. I think there were other things too I randomly couldn't order (I don't mean the Sahara stuff).

Me too! this is why I'm so confused on this. I originally thought it was either all the items you unlocked or items you had used in homes(not including unorderables). But there are things I know I have used in vacation homes that Wardell doesn't have. Unless his inventory changes which doesn't make sense. idk

It doesn't always give you everything you've unlocked right away. It's a weird system. Never quite figured it out honestly. Thankfully I already have every reorderable piece of furniture, wallpaper, flooring, etc. cataloged. Just working on some missing crafted DIY items, then I'll have it all cataloged.

By the way, I think the gameplay for new players changed massively with Wardell's catalogue. Instead of relying on the RNG to present you with 5 random items in Nook's Cranny daily (which felt kind of grindy after some time), your selection of items to decorate your own island is extended with Wardell's catalogue "in exchange for work".
