This is crazy. It's over 110 degrees where I live; the average at this time of year is mid-80s. I've been reading books about climate change and it's making me concerned for my young son's future. This weather is not normal.

Is it unseasonably hot where you live?

Same here, but that's normal for us, sadly. I will say it's a bit late for it though.

Here in my state...

That's pretty normal. During Summer ((specifically July)), it can get over 120 degrees for one whole week and it's impossible to go outside. The rest of the Summertime is spent at very least 108 degrees. Right now it's 109 for me.
Even during Winter it's pretty hot during the afternoon. The one time we got lucky during winter was when it was around 30-50 degrees, and that's unseasonably cold.

Climate change is causing serious issues in this world, and yet some people chose it ignore it. 110 degree weather is not okay and a few years ago, I experienced -40 degree weather, which just goes to show you the extremities of temperature climate change is causing.

This summer, where I live has actually been cooler (and rainier) than normal. It's anticipated that this cooler weather will push into the fall/winter as well.

The good news is that it seems that cooler weather (combined with people going out less) has led to fewer wildfires than normal. Risk warnings are relatively low in comparison to other years and we're not under a water advisory like other years.

me trying to pretend Autumn is starting 🥴

The weather has been about what it normally is for my area all this year. Sure, it's hot (low 90s/high 80s) but it's the US south. That's not as hot as it even can get.

This year isn’t as hot as the last, but it’s certainly not ideal. On most days the weather varies from 85-104 degrees with wood fire smoke.

I have definitely noticed a lot more days in the year where the temperature is over 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) and less snowfall/greener winters compared to a decade ago. Really makes me rethink some of my habits as a consumer, like drinking coffee. Even if I don't end up having kids, I want future generations to have a clean, healthy planet to live on.

It's pretty normal temperatures around here. It hasn't been over 100°F in a couple years, I'd say.

The heatwave happening this weekend (probably thru next week too if I am reading the forecast correctly) is just plain outrageous: at some point it’s like 104 outside! 😱 I’m in an area infamous for having cold summers - yet this kind of heatwaves seems to be striking way more often in the past few years, and each one nastier than the last....that, compound with the crazy wild fires literally everywhere, it’s getting surreal and not in a good way. The air quality is bad, and the skyline non-exist because of all the intense smog (from the fires). The heat sure didn’t help. One small relief though: I love AC in cars. AC in cars is definitely one of those underappreciated overlooked blessings in life, so tiny yet it makes a world of difference.

Where I live, it's been pretty hot and dry for the past few weeks to the point where my entire state is in a drought right now. There are also wildfires going on too, yesterday the smoke made everything in the distance look foggy. I was even surprised to find soot on the car and seemingly everyone else's car in the parking lot. Weirdly enough, the weather's supposed to get really cold tomorrow. Today, we have a high of 93 but tommorow, it's only 38. There's also supposed to be some snow and it's still only early September.

Up here in Minny north of the jet stream it's about 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

i’m in canada and the temperatures are sort of up-and-down here. one day, it’s almost chilly with semi-low temperatures but then the next day, it’s back up to the “20’s that feel like somewhere in the 30’s” with hella humidity,,, i honestly can’t wait for winter >_<

I wouldn’t say it’s unreasonably hot where I live, but we’ve definitely had an abnormal wave of heat/humidity. It’s finally supposed to go away this week, though!

I had maybe two whole weeks of actual summer this year and it was mainly at the end of spring, lol.
That was one of the worst and coldest summers for me for sure. It was pretty much nonstop raining and cold.
It's a wonder that I have some sun today, I barely see it anymore :(
