Watching the new Japanese trailers and I noticed that if you lay pathways down, they will show up on the map.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this yet, but still think it is kind of neat at the same time.

not sure how i feel about it either as it kinda makes the map look,, messy?? idk how else to word it lmao but its kinda cool

They probably did it that way due to the landscaping features, as the map has to reflect the changes to the landscape when you add/remove cliffs or make new water spots.

Speaking of maps, I saw a pic of a SINGLE RIVER map that split the island in half, just like I wanted.

It was the cover of a Youtube video by Mayor Mori.
It had two NH maps, and the one on the right was single river.

It looks real.
I have new hope of finding the map I really want now. :)

Maybe this feature is something you can turn off/on.

They must have heard you whining about it ... :p

It seems alright but I hope it's an off/on type thing becouse it does look like it might make the town a little messy looking at the map

Purely aesthetically I don’t like the clutter at all, but I can see it being useful for visitors, and when planning the layout of the Island. Having extra visualization is never bad in that sense.

I don't mind it. I think it might look a bit cluttered on more developed islands, but overall the aesthetic of the map itself is not that important to me.

Interesting. I think it’ll be really helpful for planning out your island for a neighbourhood or where shops would go and so on. It looks cluttered but it’ll also really help those who think visually when planning things. :)

I like this, I love the ability to see where my paths have been laid out for easier access to areas : ) Can't remember if it does anything similar in DQB2 haha.

I really don't like it. It does look a bit messy, and a bit Minecrafty

I quite like that! I can mark stuff on my map then easily. I don't mind messiness and in fact, welcome it haha

Hmmm.. not sure how I feel about this just yet. It has potential to get really ugly, I guess? Other then that... I don't think it is THAT bad.

Also, I doubt there will be an option to hide them on the map.

The option to hide this would be nice but overall I’m not bothered by it if we can’t hide it. I think it will be really helpful with town planning and trades!
