Photo Bug?

I am best friends (level 6) with all 5 of the villagers I need photos for. For 2+ (in game) months I've been gifting them wrapped stacks of 5 non-native fruit. Not a single one has given me a photo! I have confirmed friendship levels with Katrina. Do I have some sort of bug/glitch? Please help! This is driving me crazy!

I think it may just be a case of really bad odds. I've personally never gotten a photo from any villager so I don't know exactly what the odds are.

Just really bad luck. I had this happen with a few villagers. Eventually I got their photo but it can take awhile even with the highest friendship level.

This happened to me and Sherb, I spoiled him and he never gave me his photo for awhile. But I eventually did, and he's given me more of his photos since. Like a 50% chance of getting it when he visits lol.

Sasha also took awhile, my side Rep, Craig, got Sasha's photo before me (I had no idea they were so close) but then a week later Sasha finally gave it to me!

But its probably just bad luck. Maybe it will be like Sherb, and they'll keep giving you their photos all the time ♡

If you didn't get any photo after giving them gifts, try talking to them several more times and hope that they play treasure hunt with you. You could potentially get the photo as a reward.

Also, try to give them something different. If you fear about changing their interiors, just give them stacks of wrapped vegetables instead. Or 1 piece of a giant clam from the shore.
