(Would have made this a poll but don't know how to add options.)

I'll probably end up pre-ordering my copy from Amazon seeing as it's the cheapest option at the moment and I can get $5 off for being a Prime member. Only downsides are that I won't receive it straight away, probably no bonus pre-order item and there's a small chance it may not turn up on release day.

I would of made the exception to go and pick it up in-store but, I thought about it and came to the conclusion that I don't want to deal with lines and just the hassle in general.

EDIT: Pre-ordered my copy from EB Games. At least I get a bonus keychain that way.

i’ll likely be pre-ordering it online so that i don’t have to rush out to try and purchase it in-stores on launch day

EB Games (AU) online.

Glad to see another Aussie here. :lemon:

At least games from EB come in sealed. Plus, you get the pre-order bonus. My experience with Amazon AU is that most of the games don't come sealed...which is unfortunate but I heard that Nintendo Australia themselves don't seal games anymore anyway.

G'day!!! :)

Yeah, we get a keychain.

JB Hi Fi gives you a pin.
Keychain is way better. :)

Edit. Oh Amazon AU truly sucks.
Nothing sealed, and DVD's always come in cracked cases (in my experiences with them). :(

In-store. I normally like to grab a few snacks and maybe pick up a few random things when I go out to purchase a new game, so it just works out in the end for me to purchase in-store.

I ordered mine online as it's ?10 cheaper for me! I'm worried about it not delivering on time but I've asked the company and they aaid they receive the game a few days early so they can ship for release. I also googled the website and apparently people get the game on time so that's my worries sort of dampened :p

Same.

EB Games ships before release so we (hopefully) get it on time. :)

I pre order mine to get a physical copy + the tom nook phone stick

Who knows, we might be lucky and get it a day early!
I remember getting NL a day early when ordering it online (even though I couldn't receive it because I wasn't in, lol) so maybe it can happen again. MK8U arrived on time and that was the last preorder I got.

Buying from the local EbGames in Canada. It's a 5 minute drive and the store has my items ready for pick up.

Requested a Box of Welcome Amiibo cards on release day. The box was waiting when I arrived.

No plans on ordering anything amazon.ca. Too many posters and some streamers game didn't arrive on release day.
Pokemon Pokedex guide book from Amazon.ca arrived 14 days after it was released.

Oh, that would totally rock! :)

So I paid extra and ordered from EB Games. At least they package stuff really well. Amazon will just throw it in a poorly padded envelope.

Yeah, and it's usually really filthy, and they dump it at the front door without knocking. O_O

Yep! Absolutely can't stand that the parcels don't require a signature or at least never give you an option to in the first place.

I got mine online through digital. America lacked to many discounts for me to wait.

I pre-ordered a physical copy from the Japanese Amazon website because I want the bento box. The other copy will be from the NA eshop probably

I’ve bought physical copies of all my major Switch titles, I think I’ll keep the tradition going with NH. I really like most of the Switch’s Box Art and I’m surprisingly okay with switching out cartridges, considering how most of my 3DS games were digital downloads.

Plus Walmart sells Switch games $10 off. That includes new releases.
