Physical copy: Will you be buying yours in-store or online?

it's $10 cheaper to get the game at JB.
however, i preordered the console for click and collect at EB so i could trade in my old 3DSXL and a few games.

I'm getting both. My AC Switch will have the digital copy and my boyfriend is getting a physical copy for his Switch that we can showcase in our collection of Switch games! His we will pick up at our local Gamestop where a friend of us works.

I pre-ordered mine online because the keychain that store had seemed like the best preorder choice for me. There's like a 90% chance that the game will arrive a day late, but in the grand scheme of things I'd rather get an Animal Crossing item because they're hard to get here.

Pre-ordered my physical copy from Amazon...delivery on launch day. I bought all my prior consoles, AC games and peripherals at stores but I have become spoiled by Amazon Prime this past year. I order everything there now...even my kitty litter.

Online preorder from Best Buy, shipping to my address. I would say games get here on time maybe 2/3 of the time (and the worst times tend to be around the holidays.

I don’t have time to go to a store in person on launch day, and even launch weekend will be tough. I ship pretty much all of my preorders to get around that issue.

I have to work that day, so I won't be able to play until Friday night/Saturday anyway. I pre-ordered from Amazon. I know there won't be any bonuses, but I don't really mind that. I'm just looking for the cartridge.

Oh, and I'll probably avoid being online for that weekend so I don't get spoilers. I kind of want to discover things on my own.

I'm the same way, though I wouldn't choose Amazon for the game since it means waiting for delivery which means by 8pm at the latest. With store pickup, I can drive to Target first thing in the morning. Or with digital, start playing at midnight.

I am getting mine from Amazon. I do not mind receiving it later, as it is technically a gift.
None of the pre-order bonuses have been really of use to me either.

Normally I'd always go for physical but since I'll be playing every day I'm getting it digital, that way I won't have to change my cartridge all the time when I want to play something else and I don't want to make the same mistake I did with New Leaf by losing my cartridge

Yeah, it's my main source of online shopping too. Don't like how they package most things but that's about it.

I pre-ordered mine from Best Buy! I refuse to pre-order something I highly anticipate online. It never works out in my favor when I do and I end up getting it sometimes even a week after it's released. And Animal Crossing is something that I want ASAP! I would've just pre-ordered on digital but I greatly prefer having the physical copy, just personally.

Unfortunately I can't go pick it up at open. I have two exams that day. And I don't get out until 4:00 PM. But you can bet I'm going to high tail it all the way to Best Buy as soon as I get out! I am so so excited for that day!!! It'll be the most enjoyable Best Buy trip ever!
