Physical copy: Will you be buying yours in-store or online?

I preordered the AC Switch in-store so I just preordered the game there as well to save the hassle of different places.

Ordered online and picking up In store possibly at 12 am or at 7 in the morning...haven’t decided yet, but Walmart is open 24 hours.
I asked for the 20th off, so for sure I wanted to be to play on that day. I didn’t want to risk the chances by shipping it to the house and not receiving it on the 20th, or at night.

it comes out on a friday so i start school in the afternoon, and i'm going to take the route through my town centre and pick it up on the way to school! still considering pre-ordering it but i look forward to physically picking it up.

Unless they announce a pre-order bonus in Canada, I will probably go to the store on the morning of March 20. It's pretty close to my house.

I pre-ordered the cartridge version from Amazon last June.

Back in 2013 I did the same with ACNL, and it arrived a day late. So, I know that can happen this time, too. For what it's worth (probably very little), the Amazon website says that my copy of ACNH will arrive on the 20th.

If it is late, I'll try to remember that patience is a virtue. LOL

I finally pre-ordered my physical copy from Best Buy. I couldn't resist the bell bag bundle for an additional 5 dollars. I believe it'll also come with the Tom Nook tech badge, but not 100% sure on that one. Either way, I'm beyond excited to get mine in the mail!

Usually I go to Target at 7AM to get game copies, but this time I pre-ordered it from Target to get the little notebook with the calendar that had a birthday for "C.J." in it. I am going to pre-load the game on to my special edition Switch when it arrives. I only got a physical copy for archival purposes.

update: my local game store is literally...closing down today. so i decided to pre-order it online instead. at least now i get that free tote bag!

Going to get it in-store. I've had some luck finding games a day or two before they officially release in stores, and I also just want to make sure I get my copy on release day, at the latest. I don't really like any of the preorder bonuses available here (stickers and microfiber cloth, IIRC, or the Amazon tote), so I don't really mind missing out on them, and my boyfriend is going to Japan soon after it comes out, so I'll probably have him pick me up some of the exclusive merch while he's there.

in-store! i love getting the physical copy of games so i can display them. it sucks that i have to wait longer to play the game than those who buy the digital copy but i see that as a small price to pay for the satisfaction i get from adding the physical game to my collection

I dont even know anymore. Part of me wants to drop by Target @ 9AM release date and the other part of me is pre order at best buy for goodies. But I rather buy it in store 8n case of delay. Last thing I want is best buy telling me my copy is arriving on Monday.
