The idea is to state which villager from the above poster's town at the time of their post you would want in your village.

First you state which villager you would most want in your town from the above's poster town. If you are not fond of any of them, just state the one that you would prefer to have the most anyway.
(Note: You cannot select a villager that you already have in your town. In the extremely rare case that all of your villagers are the same as the above posters, just state that.)

Then you state your current villagers in the town you are playing primarily (if you have more than one town) for the next poster.
