Pigeon milk?!

So I just ordered a coffee from Brewster and he offered me some “pigeon milk” to go in my coffee. As I wasn’t expecting this I automatically said yes, but now I’m a little bit grossed out. My only question is, as Brewster is a male pigeon…where did he get the “pigeon milk” from?

I don’t think I like this game anymore…

lol there was a previous thread, apparently it's akin to some off-brand vegan milk that's labeled as pigeon-milk like a Coconut Milk or something haha. It was in ACNL too it never really crossed my mind xD

It all went by so fast, it made me question my own sanity. I was like “he did not just offer me…pigeon milk”. I just googled it and apparently “pigeon milk” I basically pigeon puke used to nurse yougins…

Pigeon milk is actually made by both male and female pigeons in real life! That isn't to say that it sounds appetizing when I say what it is, but ... Kairi is likely correct in that the game is implying a quirky cow milk alternative. Real pigeon milk looks like cottage cheese! Spoiler for what real pigeon milk is:

Birds have crops, which is a pouch before their stomach, where they store food that will not be digested, so that they can share it to their young or their partners or anything/any bird they deem worth it. Example, my budgies love to feed each other ... and the mirror. Because .. why not, I guess!

Anyway, the milk is produced from the crop. It is perhaps even grosser than you could imagine, lol, as it is fluid filled cells being pulled from the crop lining.

Honestly, I think the craziest part is that I was so shocked by the whole thing that I didn’t even question how a bird(pigeon) could produce milk in the first place. I questioned my own sanity, but didn’t question the milk part lol

He's been adding it in since WW, so I'm used to him hawking up his weird bird crop sludge into my coffee by now.
Jokes aside, I'm sure it's just another Animal Crossing punny brand name like what @Kairi-Kitten was getting at. Everyone in the AC universe seems to be some kind of pesce-vegan anyhow so I can't see literal bird crop becoming something regularly ingested.

Yeah, if I recall correctly, he offered it to me 2 days after giving me the recipe for the cookie. The fact that he never mentions it again either you accept it or not may reinforce the idea that it's just a joke.

I always believed its just actual coffee milk with just him calling it that as it's a Brewster original or something.

He has asked me twice and I said yes both times assuming it was just regular milk. Definitely seems like a joke by the writers now that I know what it is.

He's also recently told me he "even got me a clean cup" like he was using dirty cups before? Haha
