Luckily was only a branch from my understanding and that hoopla died out mostly.
I do remember this kid that wasn't allowed to have Pokemon cards because it was "evil" due to pokemon having magical elemental abilities or "violent" or watch Dragon Ball because it was violent and not nice because of farting, burping, and flirting stuff but the kid was allowed and encouraged to watch old westerns as if that had none. If anything was certainly worse.
Not knocking on anyone who allows kids to watch old westerns, or likes westerns, but I just don't follow that parent's logic is my point.
It was a extreme 90's perspective that existed.

Now that both the Astros and Rangers won the ALDS, here are some facts:

- This is the fifth year in a row that some World Series games are set in Texas (2020 was completely set in Texas due to the pandemic). The fact that both teams in the ALCS are from Texas makes this a 100% guarantee.
- This is the seventh year in a row the Astros made it to the ALCS, the longest streak any team made it to the championship series on the AL side. The only team with a longer streak than the Astros is the Braves, but that was disrupted by the Player’s Strike.
- If the Astros win the ALCS, this will be the seventh time either the Astros or the Dodgers will be in the World Series.
- Likewise, if the Rangers win, it would coincidentally close two six-year eras. One is that the Rangers would have a losing season every year, with no postseason appearance. The other is that the World Series would have either the Astros or the Dodgers (or both) every year.
- Poor Dodgers though. Out of all the seasons they won at least 100 games within the last 11 years, not once have they won the World Series. And for two years in a row, they’ve been screwed out of the NLCS.
- The 2020s has not been a good decade for either central division when it comes to the postseason. In 2020, eight central teams (four from the American League, and four from the National League) made it to the Wild Card Series, and all of them lost, leaving no central team in either division series. The next three years would see no central team in either championship series, with two years of the NLDS being east and west teams only.

already been a crazy day and I still have four hours left of work haha, good thing I'm gettin paid decently well for partaking in all this tomfoolery today 😮‍💨

not to mention my last four hours are my home branch (I was at a different library branch earlier and it was waaaack), so I feel a bit more cozy here 🥰

New Horizons: 5pm. New Horizons doesn’t get many hourly themes right or mail how they should sound, but this one right here? Immaculate.
Ugh, why the hell did I word it like that? It sounds so stupid. There's more to the post that did sound like it was a human being that typed it, but I can't get over what I put in this part. This WAS the second post I made on the site so it makes sense, but still.
