I wish there was less of a competition aspect when it comes to video games. Even on the more competitive games, I try to have fun but it just isn't fun when the competition factor gets to peoples' heads.

Umm…I don’t know…they’re not human? (I know the Beauty and the Beast ones were originally human, but not for most of the movie.)

I can't believe I spent £10 on a special nail varnish to help fill in a crack on my nail that's below the fingertip.

For me, these are the two best tracks from A Link To The Past:

"Beginning Of The Journey"

"Safety In The Sanctuary"

I made sure to type out the track titles just in case the linked YouTube videos get taken down, as some passionate Zelda fan from the far distant future may come across this post one day and then be left wondering, "da-huh? What tracks were those?? GAH, I NEEEEED TO KNOW!!!!"

This is the best time of year. Not the time when it's festive, not when it's spooky, not when it's romantic, and not when we have to be grateful for what we have.

No, the best time of year is one that doesn't even always happen yearly, and can happen multiple times a year. It's also subjective and can happen to people at different times and for different things.

The time I'm talking about is… drumroll please…

When something new comes out and it's been hyped up for a long time, so now everyone is going to get it and if you try to go on anything online, it will be spoiled instantly. Sometimes it's a movie. Sometimes it's a new season of a show. But in this case, it's a game. Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It's been heavily anticipated and now it's going to be very hard to scroll through YouTube without immediately seeing a spoiler *cough cough ProsafiaGaming cough cough*. Whoa, that was weird. I think I'm sick.

Anyway, I need to get that game fast before I learn everything about the game on accident.

Pinterest is going to be my best friend from now on for finding profile pictures. All of them are perfect. Especially seasonal ones.

you disrespect me, you disrespect my family. you call us stinky poopy babies, you punched my wife, you kicked my baby, my fricking baby. you ate our dog, you ate our HOUSE-

*for context it’s from a video i watched that i can’t stop thinking about lol*

I was listening to a video about Lucrezia Borgia and one of the weirdest details in the video wasn’t about her, but about some guy who was Pope during her childhood. (Her dad was also a Pope too, oddly enough.) Apparently, when this other Pope was old and sick her could only drink milk from “the breast of a young woman.” Like, really?? I’m not one of those people who thinks breastfeeding is inappropriate, but why is an old man drinking a random young woman’s milk? (I mean, I KNOW, but I don’t want it spelled out lol.) Don’t mean to cry over spilled milk lol.

that reminds me, i looove video essays!! theyre always so nice and i find myself learning more about topics i had little to no idea about.

some suggestions i would give if you want to watch some are wendigoon, if youre in a more spooky mood, schaffrillas, who makes content focusing on TV and films... actually, if you just search up 'video essay' on youtube you'll find a bunch of good ones !!

I listen to a fair amount of video essays when I’m playing video games. I usually listen to Jordan Theresa, Laura Jane Atelier, Peter Monn (more of a drama/commentary channel), accessiblefunky, Mina Le, blameitonjorge, Nexpo, and History Tea Time with Lindsay Holiday, but I’ll have to give them a try!
