Place your random thoughts.

If you have the drive and space, you could set up a quail habitat. They are a small social bird that can be housed in your house easily. Three of their eggs is about the same as a chicken egg. They need a low ceiling in their enclosure. Their enclosure can be built with wood and pond and seal. The wood could be and old display case cabinet or from scratch. If you use peat moss and live plants and spring tails and other little harmless bugs, you could turn the dirt. If the bugs aren't ideal, you could just change the dirt out with new dirt. Dump the old dirt in a bin outside and let sit for 6 months and turn every now and then. Then you can reuse that dirt again.
I wish I had the space but unfortunately small house. Plus not sure mom would like them in the house. I had chickens when I lived with my aunt and she had a good piece of property so they had plenty of room to run with all the other animals my aunt has.

It turns out that “best friends” and “true friends” are two different things.
  • True friends are the friends that really care about you. Those are the ones who will get along with you very well, regardless of differences. These kinds of friendships are very healthy, and you can’t lose these friends easily unless if you did something very, very bad.
  • Best friends are the friends that are just friendlier to you or are friends that you admire the most.
Best friends can be true friends, and true friends can be best friends. But it’s possible that best friends aren’t true friends and vice versa.

fallen deep into fanfic hell again and i am not getting out easily 😭

just finished a 30k-word fic yesterday (well i just reread my favorite fic) and it hits so hard on rereading because of how genius the writing is. there are so many things you take for granted in the first read that the second read becomes another experience in itself. like the summary snippet with "you never liked me", response: "truly, nothing escapes you, which may actually be the singular thing I like about you." sounds like a shallow jab, but on reread I realize that it is the one thing he really likes about her, genuinely, and it just isnt emphasized enough in earlier chapters that it's easy to dismiss the statement as something negative. like he cannot escape her no matter how much he runs, he's loved her always and she to him. god i will never get over how much i love the writing and i hope time will pass long enough that i'll be able to reread it again because it is such a thrilling experience
