Remember, when you’re fighting or protesting for a certain cause, please follow these tips:
  • Do not fight for something if you’re not going to use it. By doing it, you’ve wasted your efforts.
    • Example: A movie defending free thinking in the Hollywood industry would fall flat, given that they focus more on remakes, reboots, and sequels than on original films.
  • Do not fight for something if the real intention was to do something harmful. By doing it, you’ve given others a reason to oppose it.
    • Example: You can’t fight for free speech if you’re really fighting for hate speech and misinformation.
  • Do not fight for something if you’re not going to let others have it. By doing it, you would come off as hypocritical, for that is a double standard.
    • Example: You can’t fight for the right to pirate some media if you abuse DMCA takedowns to protect your media.

There is so much negativity in the world. Its pretty sad and messed up. Not even when you try to look on the positive side it still doesn't feel right. You try to smile during these hard times and it feels wrong. You try to be netural on both sides but you still get attacked.
Unfortunately, a part of me believes you're right. It's easy to believe life is pointless because people are always going to disagree with/hate you. That's just how the world is.

However. Reading this reminded me of a scene from Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas. I doubt you might have heard of the books, but I felt like putting this specific part out there as it feels relevant to the situation and I'm hyperfixating on the series right now.
Context: During the story, someone operating a mecha dinosaur destroyed a robot Petey (the taller cat) built.

Even if it doesn't feel right at first (and yes, it feels weird for me to reply to you), we must keep going. The journey will be hard, and you might feel like giving up, but who knows? Only positivity can repel negativity, no matter how strong the latter can be.

I'm sorry if you're bothered by the reply, I couldn't help but speak out on this.

When I was younger I use to get my food in the middle of the dead of night to avoid crowds since I was just buying for myself. I don't know if places are open that late anymore.. the pandemic changed hours of a lot of places and prices and theft has gone up.
But it was a lot easier and faster getting through the store.

I’ve been getting some friend requests in a game I play after doing multiplayer with them, which is nice. Problem is often their friend list is full. It is weird that they can still send friend requests even with their list full. I don’t normally like multiplayer but this game’s multiplayer isn’t bad, at least with the material farming stages. Just saw someone that just sent me a friend request whose list was full was cleared a few spots; I’m happy since their support unit is one that gives bonus exp :D.

So this evening, a person in their car decided to flip me off for no reason. For context, I let them go in front of me at a four way intersection. Further down the road, they pulled over at a roadside convenience store, which was when the bird was suddenly displayed through their window. I passed them looking mightily confused, and then they immediately followed me for another mile before turning away and leaving.

Not sure if this was done purely as a joke on their end or they’ve got an actual hatred for my vehicle, but it was a highly unusual occurance.

I’m wondering how this egg will look once I resize it. 🤔 I have an alternate plan that I can do for the left half of the egg as long as I don’t merge the layers and/or duplicate the file so I can keep one with how it is now and then make the edits to the other one.

A Catholic church near me has a Fish Fry tomorrow, and I’m like…don’t we usually stop that then? I never heard of one that did that on Good Friday. I found out they have Fish Fries year-round, but longer hours during Lent. It’s almost like a restaurant.

I want to draw more but I’m so drained. I probably shouldn’t push myself too much. Leaving the house even for just a little bit saps my energy. I’m really happy with the bit that I have done so far though. I was a bit nervous about this one part of the drawing and so far it is coming along better than I thought it would.

I think there's just something about the Switch that feels... off to me, compared to those older consoles. maybe it's because it was released when I was almost 18, so I didn't have time to "grow up" with the Switch.

First off, I want to reply to a lot of what you said because this is right up my alley. Maybe we should take this to direct message?

I do want to post one last thing based on your quote above though! You said you were turning 18 when the Switch came out. I think I mentioned in earlier posts that Mario 64 felt empty to me, or something to that effect, but I had to look it up... the N64 came out when I was also turning 18 😆

You are me, but a generation later (as far as video games... I would never accuse you of being like me in any other way 😆)

DM me if you want to continue the conversation. You said and mentioned so many things I want to talk about!
