Plant dead spot

So there's a spot in my town where a plant (hibiscus) won't grow,
neither will a tree survive, it's not near the edge of the river or wall of any sort,
Is there any way to fix this or is that spot stuck like that?

Is it in a shadow? Plants don't live very well in a shadow, so that may be the case.
I've never heard of something like this, so my advice isn't super amazing or anything.. XP

That's a dead spot. A tree or bush will not grow there. You can still place community projects, patterns, items, or flowers over it though.

Nothing will get a bush or tree to grow there.

I heard that planting flowers where there are brown patches or grass deterioration speeds up the healing process for your grass.
