Pocket Camp Complete

I recently started Pocket Camp in anticipation of buying Complete on release. Complete looks really good and basically fixes all of my issues with the free version of Pocket Camp. The one feature I think I'll miss though is the market box. That's really helpful in quickly getting fish/bugs/fruit/materials when needed. I think that's probably the biggest loss of Complete going offline. But I'll take that loss if it means no microtransactions and hopefully easier ways to collect items.

Finally looked into this today, and I’m surprised to say I might actually consider it? I’m not much of an app person to begin with, but microtransactions and forced scarcity REALLY put me off. I tried Pocket Camp for a long time because of my love for the franchise, but I just didn’t like the FOMO and the gambling elements. If all of that is being stripped away, it might actually be worth ten bucks to be able to pick it up from time to time while I’m on the go.

I started playing again after three years of not touching the game two weeks ago and I strangely had a lot of trouble purchasing Tickets to get the Squirrel accessory which I desperately wanted as I love Squirrels. In NH, I made sure to buy all of the Pocket Camp items as I heard that they will no longer be available once Pocket Camp pulls online service. So you’d better get all of those items now for your inventory collection before it’s too late. Otherwise I haven’t done any other micro transactions in this game.

Pocket Camp never really interested me aside from whenever I saw something cool that was added that I, as a mainline only player, could only look at with awe and envy. No matter how neat the stuff was, I didn't want to pay for any of the items or in-game currencies or whatever else.

After it was brought to my attention that the Pocket Camp crossover items would no longer be available in New Horizons, I downloaded the app on Tuesday and linked it to my Nintendo Account so I could have access to those crossover items.

While I only played it for a few hours in total on Tuesday night and Wednesday night before it was shut down on Thursday, it seemed kinda neat, and since Complete will have all of this stuff built in I'm weighing whether I like it enough to get it while it's at its discounted price.

i believe the announcement said UTC time, so whatever your timezone is compared to that. as for what exact time UTC, that's what they didn't say, but people are speculating either midnight or 6AM, which is when the daily reset happens in-game. UTC is the same time as GMT, and i'll probably be up at midnight, so will definitely check then asdfghjkl.

It’s now live on Android devices. Prices on items are way, way cheaper via leaf tokens (box of five fortune cookies: 25 leaf tokens), can trade bells for leaf tokens up to 100 a month, Gulliver islands also return tokens and complete tickets

Just got it downloaded, happy to play again cuz the game is super cute. Honestly glad to see the happy reactions on here compared to other people I've talked to and reactions I've seen online (mostly upset about that it's paid now ? maybe it's mostly f2p people upset?) because this is how animal crossing should be without microtransactions like I actually want to play this again now

I got like 330 Leaf Tokens from Isabelle's jobs all at once, and like hundred more rewards. I don't even know what for, I just clicked collect...
You can trade trade 50000 bells for 100 Leaf Tokens per month, now that I have 430 my first big purchase will be premium camp options. :3

Have only played for a bit but already love it. I love that the items I was crafting when the game shut down were still there. So fantastic that Leaf tokens are so much easier to get.

There’s so much great about this new game!

The only two bummers so far: you can’t use leaf tokens to increase your inventory (really wish I’d spent my last leaf tickets on this and not the now extremely cheap cookies), and about forty or so every fish have disappeared from the catalog. Not huge deals, but I’m surprised they left out the ability to increase storage (the +5 for every five level ups is still active)

Also, those who have time traveled (do so at your own peril) report that HHA classes for cookies/events will be coming later in the month

LOVING complete so far! immediately spent leaf tokens on a bunch of cookies, including egbert's one so i can finally have that bunny plushie to carry around. also got some more houses from bianca's(?) cookie to round out my winter campsite and will probably spend one of those ticket things to get a better tree from the catalogue. also bought a few terrain pieces for the first time!

definitely missing the social aspect already, but i'm sure i'll get used to it. whistle pass felt super bare with only three people there this morning, idk if you can have more people than that, haven't checked again yet lol. also oof those crafting times HIT. i think i saw someone on reddit say you can pay a one time leaf token fee to reduce/remove them for good? i'll have to double check though.

also gonna try out the custom designs next and lay some paths down in my campsite!

I paid to fully upgrade the crafting times. It was 60+120+200 for maximum speed (24 hours)

i let my sister wander around since she can't get complete yet, and she discovered for me that there was at least a fourth person at whistle pass right after i posted that lol. haven't seen the fifth yet. anyone know how often they rotate in and out yet?

ah, gotcha! i did do the first 60 token payment, which i probably shouldn't have since i was running low on those asdfghjk, but good to know how much i should save to reduce the times completely!

I’m brand new to pocket camp I played for maybe 2 hours last year but didn’t get too into it due to micro transactions now that it’s an offline game I’m very happy. However how to I add a animal villager to my camper card ?

I only played Pocket Camp for a few months after its release, so I don’t know how Fortune Cookies work and probably many other mechanics. But now I’m really intrigued by the Complete version. I hate microtransactions and Pocket Camp without them, with a one-time payment, sounds promising. I’ll need to check out more details and maybe I’ll buy it.

I bought it as soon as I saw it was available. The game is amazing! So much to do, so many items! I love it!!! I'm really happy they released a one time payment version.

I couldn't transfer my old level 80 account since it was linked to my old Nintendo account, but that's totally fine as I wanted a fresh start anyway. I wish there were more hair and eye colors, I just can't find a pair I'm happy with that would suit my outfit. Other than that the game looks fantastic and I’m going to be sooo addicted.

Thanks I got it I wish I had Cole he’s my favorite but I choose Apollo for now. Can I change it later?
