Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete (paid offline version) releases on mobile on Dec 3rd (special launch price $9.99 until Jan 31. Regular price $19.99 after Jan 31st)

Preorder available on iOS and Android

I watched the whole video, and I'm honestly looking forward to its release! Lots of cool features to make up for the discontinuation of online services and the loss of items that would be cool for me to display in my campsite. I'll probably enjoy PC Complete more than the original game! I'll have to reinstall Pocket Camp just to snag that memorial tree...

The name is kinda dumb, but the rest looks good. I don't really have any kind of hope or trust that this will last longer than October 2025 though, but I guess I'll use the time to complete as much as possible.

I only played Pocket Camp for a few months after its release, so I don’t know how Fortune Cookies work and probably many other mechanics. But now I’m really intrigued by the Complete version. I hate microtransactions and Pocket Camp without them, with a one-time payment, sounds promising. I’ll need to check out more details and maybe I’ll buy it.

Now that you mention it, I realized that a better title for the game could have been something like, "Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Ultimate", or, "Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Deluxe".

I appreciate that this is a one-time payment only game, so I plan on purchasing it on release day.

It’s looking a lot better than I expected!! Also more expensive but that’s ok 😂 I’ll definitely be getting it right away. I can have Drift follow me around everywhere for a one-time payment 😂 of course I’m gonna get it.

I do feel like the 4-year rotation of items is a bit ambitious for how long people will be interested in it, but a year (almost) of new items sounds great.

I love that we get to collect little, like, amiibo cards of our friends, that’s so cute.

I’m intrigued by the leaf tokens. It just seems like a premium version of pocket camp and for a one-time payment I think that’s brilliant. Sad to see the regular pocket camp go but I’m excited to explore the new stuff.

Same. It was the thing I missed most from new leaf. I wonder how much it will cost? I guess I better start farming coins.

It looks pretty good to me! I've only dabbled in Pocket Camp a little bit but this actually makes me more interested, I much prefer a one-time payment vs microtransaction game. I usually don't go for paid app games ever if I'm being honest but Animal Crossing is the one thing that might be worth it for me.

Do you think it's worth while for me to pick up playing Pocket Camp now so that I have a little bit of data to transfer over? Or just start fresh when this becomes available 🤔

Nintendo: We're going tell you information about Pocket Camp in October.

Also Nintendo: lol get ****ed you're waiting until the end of the month.

Anyways, I'm hyped. I can't believe I'm going to pre-order a damn mobile game.

Seasonal events continuing is exciting. I LOVE THAT THERE'S STILL PSEUDO-MULTIPLAYER!!!

It looks like they legit made an effort to make this a solid single-player experience.

Where do I go to get the Memorial Tree Sapling?

i saw this trailer right after it dropped lol, it definitely reassured and convinced me! i think £8.99 at launch is more than fair, especially for almost a year's worth of new content + a new area, and i like that we can memorialize our pre-existing friends list with the little camper cards. i pre-registered for it and will definitely be playing at launch. the only thing i don't like is that the back-up doesn't seem very secure. apparently you have to manually back it up to your nintendo account but it only lasts seven days. so if you forget to do that and your phone breaks, you'll lose everything. (is my understanding anyway.) i'm not sure why it can't just be backed up permanently to the cloud. i'm hoping maybe google play games will create a backup, because there's a good chance i'll forget, break my phone and then lose like 7+ years' worth of effort lol

This is nice to see. So many games like this aren't playable anymore after they shut down, which is just bad considering the money so many people have spent on them.

Turning it into an offline game and removing the paid Gacha mechanics is great. I haven't played the game in several years - there are so many items they added in that I want, so if I can I'll get it for $9.99 before the price raises.

Even if it's an offline Pocket Camp successor, I'm happy to see a major new thing released in the series after three years. I've been wanting to play this game offline whenever I bring my tablet on vacation (or my own WiFi goes down), and now I can do that. It's also interesting how there's still a pseudo friend system in place, though I wonder if there'll be easier ways to earn friendship powder as there is definitely no one I know in real life that plays this.

I noticed little discussion about the Leaf Token system. Forgive me if I understood it incorrectly, but it seems to serve the exact same purpose as Leaf Tickets. I know the video never discussed a single microtransaction that would be featured in the game, but I've got a gut suspicion that priced bundles will secretly return somehow (and that phasing out the tickets is a crummy way for Nintendo to make more money). Am I crazy for theorizing this?

Also major props for them being like me and showing off my dear Dotty as a camp caretaker 🤩

i might have to buy this, i’ve only played pocket camp a few times but i like the idea that there won’t be micro transactions anymore. really wish it was playable on computers/macbooks since i dont like mobile gaming.
