What happened?
Anything can be dangerous if you're not careful, the key is common sense, and you'll be fine.

Ohh nooo I'm not going to the pool to catch Pokemon or abuse the conveniently placed Pokestop there for hours on end....Or am I? x3
I keep finding Pokemon in the early morning on my bed. This morning it was a Staryu, Gastly, Jigglypuff and a Weezing. And knowing my luck, those are probably the only ones I catch today.

Not to be mean or w/e but I've noticed that a lot of people just don't have a lick of common sense. Like that little girl who was crossing the "highway" to catch Pokemon and got hit by a car. I found a few things wrong with that scenario. Like where was her parents? Didn't anyone ever teach her to look both ways when crossing the street? And why was she trying to cross a busy highway just to catch a virtual creature?

I definitely do have to agree. Im personally not gonna play it, bc im paranoid like that, but its not the pokemon company's fault. this can happen with ANY phone game.

My method of catching Pokemon. I hold my phone in my hand and look at it when it vibrates. Since the tracking thing seems broken it seems pointless to wander around aimlessly. Also I turn off the AR because that is what restricts you in one location to catch. If it is a Pokemon I want to catch, I stop and stay on the bloody side walk away from the street to catch it. And I try not to look suspicious if I end up stopping in front of someone's house. xD

Anyone else having issues with the footprints used in tracking the Pok?mon? Neither my brother or I can get the footprints to go below 3, but I can still encounter Pok?mon. Only if I happen to pass right over them though. My brother says a recent update broke the game's tracking system...
I have that same problem too where ever I go its always 3 steps but I end up encountering the Pokemon and it still says its 3 steps away
It is a known glitch/bug. Niantic is aware and working to fix it.
i love it. Its a shame the server is reeeeeally buggy, but still fun!They are a bit messed up... i have problems catching pokemon, somtimes it crashes. It doesnt load up pokestops very well sometimes. The tracking system isnt working at the moment, and i signed out yesterday and it took hours to sign back in again :< but yeah............ other than that XD i can still get some enjoyment out of it
I'm finally getting some decent Pok?mon rather than just Pidgeys all the time! I went from level 7 > level 10 today though so that's probably why. Definitely helped by the amount of lures in my city
Also, I actually love the way Niantic aren't giving too much info away and it's down to exploring for yourself and talking with other people. It kind of reminds me of how I used to play Pok?mon as a kid without the internet, and all the rumours and stuff made it more exciting to play!

I think Niantic is doing a fine job as well. One aspect I actually love about this game, while I also find it very frustrating, is that the way the Pok?mon appear is kind of realistic. While we do find them in unrealistic places, they show up rather randomly, and even move. They can flee, and fight off your Pokeballs. I like that a lot.

The servers arent overloaded they faced two Distribution Denial of Service attacks this weekend by poodlecorp and some other hacking group, this upset me because i couldnt get my sandshrews and growlithes in west texas lol.
I had a really successful day with the game today! :> my 10km egg hatched and while it wasn't one I wanted it was at least one I didn't have! but then another egg hatched and I got a zubat ; v ;
I caught a wild hypno at 672 and I've been catching so many drowsees that I was able to level it up to 885. I feel like I'm getting somewhere now XD
