I can't decide whether to go to LAVARIDGE from MAUVILLE or to VERDANTURF from MAUVILLE.
I make up my mind and head west.
On ROUTE 117, there is a POKéMON DAYCARE.
If this DAYCARE is anything like the one in JOHTO, it will take two POKéMON.
So I go turn on the PC in the corner of the DAYCARE building.
I MOVE Kairi and Hatsune into my PARTY, DEPOSITING A and Wally.
I STORE both Kairi and Hatsune into the DAYCARE, and go talk to the DAYCARE MAN outside.
He comments on their well-being, which I take as an "Oh, they're behaving well."
Good.
I continue heading west, weaving my way through the TRAINERS.

I get to VERDANTURF, passing a whole FIELD (!!!!!!) of them, and then decide to go into the POKéMON CENTER to WITHDRAW A and Wally from the PC.
Nothing much to see here (except for the flowersssss).
I make my way back to MAUVILLE to start heading out for LAVARIDGE.
I get stopped at this house. Not because it's a special house, but because there is a person blocking the door.
He asks me if I want to take on his family of four in a series of four POKéMON BATTLES. I say NO, as I need to rearrange my PARTY to put Wally at the front.
So I do.
Before he battles, he grows a full(er) head of hair and changes clothes.
Weird.
He sends out a TAILLOW, which faints after two CONFUSION uses.
I decide to switch out to A, because Wally's health is kind of low.
I defeat his ZIGZAGOON with A.
He turns back into the house, and says to the rest of his family that he found a pretty strong TRAINER.
A woman comes out.
She sends out a ROSELIA.
I defeat it fairly simply with a CONFUSION, or three.
Then the woman goes back in and calls out a younger girl.
She sends out a MARILL.
I switch out from Wally to bruh right after I send Wally out.
bruh uses BULLET SEED, and it hits three times. Not enough.
I tell bruh to finish it off with a BULLET SEED.
She sends out a SHROOMISH, which bruh faints with a bunch of NATURE POWERS/SWIFTS.
I switch out to Luffy, and then use BUBBLE, which faints the NUMEL.
The grandma comes out. She scolds me for making her granddaughter cry, and then sends out a MEDITITE.
She also changes clothes right before battle...
I let Wally faint due to a HI JUMP KICK, and then switch out to Diamond.
I start with a FAKE OUT. But, the MEDITITE uses DETECT first.
I use NIGHT SHADE, but the DETECT fails this time.
DETECT works.
Then it doesn't, and the MEDITITE faints.
So, the grandma says that I'm strong for beating her.
That's nice.
Today was really rushed, as my mother is starting to kick me off the computer earlier and earlier. So, she told me to get off, like, ten minutes ago.
So, yeah. I'll try to get them done even earlier now, but no promises to how long I'll be able to invest in these.
