Pokémon Pokemon Sun and Moon General Discussion

You probably want to focus on the version exclusive UB first. Buzzwole and Kartana are Sun exclusive, Pheromosa and Celesteela are Moon exclusive.

Is it just me or does the (regular) poison status do way more damage now?

I thought poison damage was actually doing less than usual~ may be the way the hp is set up...it drains so slow sometimes on my clunky ol 3ds

See
And those 8 are separate because I like to put them in number I just put them in the last box because most of them were in that box

I guess you can do whatever you like with them then.

Guzzlord is taking many resets just to catch, so I don't think I can be bothered to reset for a good nature on this one. Too ugly for me anyway...!

Poison got buffed big time. I believe it only used to do around 4 damage per turn but now it does like 10-15. Not sure why they would do that considering you encounter poison types early in the game when you don't have much HP.

Poison has always dealt damage equal to 1/8th of your max HP, while Badly Poisoned has always done damage equal to 1/16th of your max HP and adds another 1/16th to the damage on each turn (but resets if you switch out). Naturally, this means a Pok?mon with a high HP stat (like Snorlax) would lose more HP per turn but in the end the percent of their health remaining is still the same.

I hope i'm not the only one who hates festival plaza?? i want to burn it to ashes lmao
the connection system (i think it was called PSS..?) from ORAS/XY was sooo much better imo. It's sad that Gamefreak decided to get rid of it :/

I really don't like it either, especially since some of the stores that are actually useful are version exclusive and nobody seems to recommend anything that isn't a 1-star store when I ask them if they know any good stores. It would be so much better if the Ball Shop sold Apricorn Balls as well, but you only get one per. game from Professor Oak and I need a lot of Love Balls for all the shinies I want to breed.

I like the idea of it but its so....meh. You cant talk to anyone anymore and its so difficult to trade with people :/ the PSS was so much better. I think a mix of the plaza and PSS could work maybe, at least add a chat option or let us type out messages (nintendo stop being a babysitter, let us do what we want ;-;)

Plaza is literal garbage. The shops and stuff are fine but the trading system is so complicated and it's ridiculous. You have to page someone and register them as a vip just to trade with them. I probably won't ever trade with people simply because it's way too much unnecessary effort. Gen 6's method was so easy you could do it wherever you were. Why do they have to ruin nice things?

I also hate the randomness of the outfit buying. I don't want some random thing, I want to choose what to buy from you. Obviously because I don't have that item!

Hatch 20 eggs then talk to the IV judge at the Battle Tree. He will unlock a feature for your PC that will let you see the Pok?mon's IVs from in the PC box. No good = 0 IVs and Best = 31 IVs.

If you mean a stats judge, I don't think there is one in this game? There might be one at the battle tree but I haven't been there yet. You can always check the IVs of a Pokemon by pressing Y on the stats graph.

I can check them from the PC?! That just made it sooo much easier :) yay~

That's for Effort Values though.

What I pressed y and a different chart showed up cool! If it sparkles is it a perfect IV?

Effort Values and Individual Values are separate things. Effort Values are the points you get when you defeat another Pok?mon or use Vitamins. 4 effort values give you one extra point in that stat, for a max of 252 EVs in a single stat. When the stat sparkles that means you've maxed an EV in that stat.

EDIT: You can only check a Pok?mon's EVs by pressing Y on their summary page. As for IVs, you can only check them through the PC box by taping "Judge" on the bottom screen by unlocking the feature from the IV judge at the Battle Resort.
