Pokémon Pokemon Sun and Moon General Discussion

Mega Dragonite...PLEASE (maybe some mata cleanup ie abilitys that dont fit.) once a week u would like to talk to a guy who can turn your pokemon into a shiny pokemon. how about tough elite four matches with viable teams on the rematch.
 

Alola Forms for various old Pokemon:
Exeggutor is Grass/Dragon
Vulpix is Ice type, evolves into Ninetales which is Ice/Fairy
Sandshrew is Ice/Steel, Sandslash has the same typing

New Pokemon:
Mudsdale's pre-evo is called Mudbray, Ground type.
Yungoos evolves into Gumshoos, Normal type.
Oricorio, which has 4 forms. These forms are Fire/Flying, Psychic/Flying, Electric/Flying and Ghost/Flying. New ability copies Dance moves.
Minior which is Rock/Flying, ability makes its shield break apart after being attacked.
Formantis, which evolves into Lurantis, both Grass type. They have the new move Solar Blade.

Mudsdale and Charizard can also be ridden along with other Pokemon using the PokeRide system.

A challenge for each island, where you have to meet specific conditions to complete it. At the end a "totem" Pokemon battle will occur. After completing the challenge you can fight the Kahuna of that island.
With Gyms rumored to not be in this game, this might be the replacement.

Video also expands on what the Z-Crystals do. Pokemon that hold the same type of Crystal as is set into the bracelet can perform stronger moves, as long as they are of the same type.

I'm thoroughly excited. :) Can't wait to try all these new Pokemon, but at the same time now I really gotta play my VC Pokemon games. :/
 
I kind of like the idea of having pokemon variants like those alola forms. They kind of remind me of those drawings people make if pokemon had different versions. But it also doesnt sit right with me at the same time... I dunno (what happened to exeggutor tho?? Making it tall makes it a dragon??). Anyways, those z-moves are kinda silly to see but whatever. I like that mantis thingy too, the others are cool I guess. The trials seem neat.

Sun and Moon are going to very different than previous pokemon games. I still have high hopes and I'm excited to see how this game strays off from the norm.
 
I like the idea of Alola forms, I just hope that they won't be limited to G1 Pokemon only.
The new Pokemon also look pretty neat, I especially love Lurantis.
And I hope the PokeRide system is not limited to 10 or so Pokemon. I know there'll be some limit, but it would be nice to have a good amount of choice.

I think it's great how much Game Freak is trying to innovate with these games. Of course there's going to be some misses here and there, but I think overall they're doing a really good job.

I'm still hoping that some semblance of difficulty will be present in the game though.
 
were the big kahunas of each island supposed to be the elite four? because if so they're all like teenagers and one of them is a child

also kinda sad lurantis is grass type, its entry and appearance make it look fairy/fighting or fairy/grass. also theres a donald trump pokemon

They seemed like gyms to me? Not sure. I think they aren't the E4 though.

Anyway, I'm absolutely in love with each new thing shown in the new trailer. Gumshoos design is precious.

They are Trial Captains. The Kahunas are other characters, and the only one we know of right now is Hala, who is Melemele Island's Kahuna.

It's been said for years that Pokemon was basically the same game over and over again. I say give it a chance because at least they're TRYING something new.

To be fair though, Aaron (Sinnoh), Phoebe (Hoenn), Caitlin (Unova) all look really young.
 
I for one am really excited about the new alola forms and if Lunatone and solrock don't get mega's then they should AT LEAST give us an alola form of them, right?
 
exeggutor now thrives in my nightmares. but holy crap the ice type vulpix and ninetails are bomb af i'm definitely putting em in my team omg
 
So much goodness here. I really get people being hesitant, but this was needed. I wish the abilities were a little more interesting on ice Ninetales and Sandslash tho.
