It's hard to say at the moment. Aesthetically it looks like a big step up over XY, but in terms of gameplay it's still up in the air. We also won't know until the games release. I don't want to get my hopes up either.

Graphic wise, for sure. They look stunning!
I'm worried the region, cities and gym leaders will be forgettable like in XY. I can't name a single city or town besides Lumiose and that was due to how frustrating that city was. I also hope rollerblades and those bad camera angles don't exist in SM.

Honestly, I loved Lumiose.

Yeah the Roller Blades were meh, especially since you couldn't take them off.
 
Forgettable Cities? I can't agree with that, Anistar, Snowbelle, Larverre, Cyllage and Geosenge are all quite good imo. But yeah,I agree the Gym Leaders were forgettable as hell tho and I also wouldn't miss Roller Blades either.

this game looks incredible. i'm so excited for it. if you preordered it at game stop don't forget to grab the genesect code at the same time ^_^

Vaniville, Aquacorde, Santalune, Lumiose, Camphier, Ambrette, Cyllage, Geosenge, Shalour, Courmarine, Laverre, Dendemille, Anistar, Couriway, Snowbelle, Kiloude.

The only unforgettable gym leaders in Kalos is Valerie because its the first fairy gym and Clemont since he's in the anime too.
