oh nvm I found it in a video here .-. oh welp it's still helpful the link

Whenever I play a new generation, I like to have a team with only the new Pokemon as well as have at least a grass, fire and water type. So far I have in mind:
  • Sirene (Popplio's evo I dubbed)
  • Toucan (Pikipek's evo)
  • Salandit's Evo
  • Lurantis
  • Kommo-o
Still deciding one more member of the team!

I try to include the new ones too, but sadly not too many interest me. I always try to get my favorites, no matter what. I usually have water and fire taken care of and then head off to find an electric, but since I'm choosing grass to start this time I honestly have no idea who to pick for water. Some of the legendaries/beasts might be water though so I can always work them in later.

I honestly have never used a grass in my teams until I played through White 2 again and added Virizion for the final Gym. I always just felt like they were too feeble/never really had much strength, but after I realized I could simply shift to target weaknesses during a battle I found that grass was actually quite useful. totally not picking Rowlet just to get my Fly Pokemon out of the way.

Speaking of...
Are HMs even going to be a thing anymore? I mean, Tauros was using Rock Smash in the demo (which is technically not an HM anymore but still)

Well if you ever decide to use more grass types, I reccomend using Trevenant. It is by far one of the strongest grass types you'll come across, then again, my Kalos team is pretty OP...

I think they'll still be a thing but they won't be HM's? Maybe more like TM's...

I honestly hope they get removed. The one thing I always hated was that you can't remove them normally. Last night I was playing HeartGold and needed to use Cut to get to the Celadon Gym, but the only one who could learn it was my Feraligatr, so I had to go ALL THE WAY BACK to Blackthorn City to remove Waterfall so he could learn it. Why does it have to be such a hassle. -_-

Did anyone else get "this game is gonna be easy like XY" vibe from the demo? It felt like I was getting my hand held the entire time I was playing. Like with the taking pictures thing. Why did they have to tell me where the Pokemon were? Couldn't I have searched myself? I felt dumb. ^^;

Well it is the demo. Plus you do have to consider this is also for younger age groups too.

It's a demo, plus the Pokemon have their defence lowered for the demo to make it easier.

I got the same vibe honestly. The interface is a bit too convenient. It tells you which moves are effective and which aren't, plus now you can see all the stat changes and everything. Idk I felt like figuring that stuff out and keeping track of things was part of the fun. :/

Is that dex leak real?

If they are, I'll be shocked. How did the starters turn out like everyone planned from the beginning?!

I honestly want to pick Litten since a fire/dark would be fun, but I don't want two fire types. ;-; Plus Rowlet fits into my team more.

im gonna be picking Litlitten because i plan on using my ash greninja in the real game... (as you can tell by my sig and stuff)

I don't want to spoil myself until I get the game, I made an oath2order. I only want to see the base stats and HA's of Pokemon we already seen. Can anyone give out a spoiler list of them if the data miners got that?

Same. I don't want to bother adding "start-of-journey" Pokes to my team since they always have such low stats, but if some are decent I can figure out who I'd want.

Base stats, typing's and abilities were wiped form the demos data

Does anyone have any team plans so far? As of now I plan on having Rowlet, Arcanine, Lucario, and midnight Lycanroc. I'd love to have Zoroark but if he's not available I might just use Gengar since he's been amazing in my second HeartGold playthrough. I'm not sure on the last one though. I kinda want either Ninetails or Sandslash for their new ice forms, but I also really need a water type...

I'm just relieved that Arcanine and Lucario are in the Alolan dex. I'm hoping they can be caught early on rather than late in the game. When I played through White 2 again I was able to get them so early- Riolu at lv 5 and Growlithe at lv 13 <3

I'll be going with Rowlet (Archerbirb ftw), Toucan Sam, Ribombee, Mimikyu, Wimpid evo, and Silvally.

omg same I always pick either grass or fire, usually grass but I don't like how rowlet's evo turned out and litten's final evo is just disgusting :c
Agreed I was never on the "rowlet fan club" But litten for moment yes until a wrestling cat? Ew...
