Hi everybody! I'm new here at TBT and fairly new to Animal Crossing - I started with New Leaf, which I got in October, but I didn't really play it seriously until about December. Just a newbie question in case anybody is still taking notice of this thread - what exactly is cycling?? I've seen it mentioned all over the place and I know it somehow involves getting villagers to move out quickly so others will come in but I'm still pretty confused.

Some people buy games to cycle villagers. This is where you time travel, get a villager in boxes and allow someone else to adopt them. Some people cycle to get money where they sell the villagers, some like to trade villagers and some just do it to help others get dreamies(like me). By time travelling, villagers move out quicker and others move in, I think I can cycle through about 3-4 villagers in one day.

Some people also cycle through villagers if one of their dreamies move out. You have to cycle through 16 villagers before you get them back
