Possible sign of Valentine's Day event?

So, I just went to the airport to send a diy by mail to a friend and I saw this

These were probably added in the Toy Day update, but were unlocked today (maybe yesterday, as I didn't play the game yesterday so I couldn't check if they were available).

These have been available for a few days. I sent something to a friend and thought it was a cute note. Must admit my head didn't think valentines so I hope the person concerned doesn't mind, sorry

Also worth noting that, just like I said like a week ago, all of my villagers have been randomly talking about hanging out with me. I think this may be a sign of the addition of villagers visiting your house.

That would be nice! I kind of miss when they would pop in to see me at my house when I was trying to decorate. Most of the times I ignored if I was in another room, but it was nice.
Though it would be weird to add on valentines though. It would look like date.

I think it will be a long term thing, just as it worked in New Leaf. It's one of the features people want back, and I think the devs wouldn't have a good reason to make this mechanic a limited time thing.

I know it can be done in your own phone, but it'd still be nice

Yeah, but that would make sense given the tone of some villagers dialogs involving "hanging out".

I would absolutely love to see a Valentine's day event in Animal Crossing New Horizons and the Chocolate heart was an official item that you could get in Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Yeah, that's why I made the connection and also because, in Japan, girls give chocolate to boys on Valentine's Day (I remember seeing something like this in an anime, I think it was Love Hina).

I don't know how the past games in the main series have treated Valentine's Day, but I know Pocket Camp has done something for Valentine's Day in the past, so maybe there will be some items or something. I'm not anticipating an event just because I think the next event is going to be Pave+Carnival based on the last trailer we got.

In New Leaf, Brewster gives you a hot choco. The villagers either gives you a chocolate or a cake. But since we don't have Brewster, we'll probably just get letters or chocolate from villagers. Or it'll just be an ordinary day with special Valentine's Day item sold on the Nook Shop app.

They've been in the game since launch, same as all the other seasonal postcards you can get.

There's also Mother's Day and Father's Day cards in there, and they were only Nook Stop items, so idk what's actually going to happen for Valentine's Day in NH, especially given as Festivale is the 15th.
