Preorders For The Game Are Out Now! Your Thoughts?

Okay, so if you don't know, Bestbuy, or GAME out of NA, are starting up pre-orders for the game at $59.99.

What do you think? Are you gonna take the plunge? For me, I'm just going to wait until it comes out on Amazon Prime, so then it's like $15 cheaper im such a cheapskate.

Also, do think this means that the game's closer than we think? Pokemon has no pre-orders available, yet ACFNS* has the pre-orders!

(*What I'm gonna name it. It's way to hard to say Animal Crossing Switch every time)

Anyways, yeah. I want to see thoughts on the topic, since it's like the only piece of news so far...

I'll probably preorder through GameStop when it's available so I only have to put $5 down and I can cancel if something better comes along haha. I'm hoping for a Switch limited edition bundle. I'm hoping they release new Amiibo alongside too so maybe there will be a bundle with those included.
I'd like to think because preorder is up a firm release date is on the way, but, I also know stores don't care and just want to get your money haha.

What!?!? Pre-orders are out already?!?! I don't know what to say. It's so early considering we just had a direct a few days ago. I'll definitely get it but I'm waiting for a small price drop unless my own self urges me to get it on the day the game releases.

I had no idea Best Buy was associated with GAME. That's crazy. I thought it was just some US only thing so I thought it was a mistake, but I guess not.

I'm not going to preorder until we get more information, unless all of a sudden we get a date that's in a few months haha. But yeah I'm hoping for a bundle too, which I imagine will also go up for preorder immediately after it's announced. xD

I just looked and on GAME the price is ?59.99 which I imagine is not supposed to be the correct price for outside the US because 60 dollars should translate to about ?45. I wouldn't recommend pre-ordering just yet outside of the US as the price is clearly just a copy/paste from the US market into a different currency so I think this is pretty much a rush-job. I would definitely wait until we at least get a date on the pre-order pages.

I checked out Nintendo's website for their upcoming switch titles, and even though they had some TBD games up, AC wasn't on there. So I'm sure these preorders are just Bestbuy trying to get ahead of everyone and lock down some money. I doubt they received any info from Nintendo to greenlight orders or a release date.

I?m definitely going to wait and see if there?s going to be a AC special edition Switch!
If no special edition is not announced with one month of the launch of the game then I?ll have to pre-order. (I really think that?s it?s more than likely a special edition AC Switch will be made.)
Also it depends on what the design looks like. Because it?s Animal Crossing it?s more than likely to have a nice looking design. Hopefully nothing too bland or tacky! (If that?s the case I might pass.)
I still regret not buying the AC:NL 3DS XL The prices on EBay are still astronomical!

oh shoot this strengthens the theory of it releasing around January or late winter since the official sticker set on amazon is set to release in january 2019 which is a strangely specific time

^ I don't see it being released in January. If it was coming out soon, they would've shown more during the Direct.

Anyway, I don't see the point of pre-ordering this early. I want to hear more info about the game to be absolutely sure I want it. There also might be a limited edition Switch that includes the game with it.

The price is unfortunate, but not surprising at all. I'm going to wait for more info/gameplay footage, but unless there turns out to be something I really hate about the game, I'll most likely preorder. Made the mistake of not doing so with New Leaf, and had to go to three different stores to find it on release day. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for any kind of deal/discount I can get though, however unlikely.

GameStop. Once I know the release date especially. Being on a budget it's easier for me to fully pay it off in one sitting on the 1st of its release month. Or depending on what else releasing maybe when the official date is announced. It really depends but usually the 1st of Release Month.

I think the pre-order is honestly a scam. It doesn't even have an exact title or cover yet, so I wouldn't even breathe near it. Y'all are hyping yourselves up too much, just wait till it actually shows up on Nintendo's website.

Preorders show up this early on retailers' websites all the time. I sincerely doubt a big store like Best Buy is scamming anyone.

Wouldn't the current preorder pages be a placeholder? Sounds like a bad idea until we know a true release date. They're not intentionally "scams" but they assume there won't be long delays.

I would prefer not to pre-order. I would like to buy it on the day of launch. I only pre-ordered a Switch and Super Mario Odyssey so I can have them as guaranteed.

I am pretty surprised tbh. I don't think I could preorder it if i have no information yet as to what the game will be like. I am putting my trust into nintendo this time though that they won't disappoint.
