Unfortunately, a lot of universities, especially in the US, are known as “party schools,” which may be the reason why some people are there when they should not be.


Thankfully, I have the privilege to go to a university where everyone takes their academics seriously.

It is a community college where most people are just trying to transfer once they finish their core classes :/ It's a lot cheaper, and I didn't wanna spend more money just for core classes that I won't use in my career. At least it is online, so I can learn the material at my own pace.. Plus since many of my classmates don't try, I look good by comparison which helps my qualitative grades. I can't wait to transfer to a better university I'm glad you are enjoying yours!

Yeah, that makes sense. I went to community college first as well. It’s a much better route than going straight into university.

As far as further grammar goes, I’m not too picky when it comes to high vocabulary or stuff like poetry. That sort of stuff annoys me as it’s not my forte (even though I thought it was for a long time). But if someone’s going to post something that doesn’t even make coherent sense in a comment section, they need to try harder. Lol

i honestly couldn't care less about how people type when i was 13 (accidentally said 15, whoops!) i tried my hardest to type properly bc i thought it made me look cool i guess, lol. now i feel like it's kinda silly to make a fuss over it if you can understand what the other person is saying, especially small things like to vs too or your vs you're and i think debinoresu said my exact feelings about this earlier a lot better than i ever could've!

i kinda like typing in all lowercase now, i don't feel this way about others but i feel like if i type with proper capitalization/finish most sentences with periods that i'll come off as cold or stern it's become a habit, i purposely type in lowercase a lot of the time on mobile even though i have autocorrect on!

Well yeah the only time I type like that JC dude is when I'm writing serious letters to authorities/school/work etc. so yeah i usually type like this sentence, sometime i leave put the ' if i'm too lazy.. it's just when people misspell words on purpose like mentioned above it gets annoying.. wtf is even "compleate" ???

but yeah, as Sheila said, I’ll only right with proper grammar if I’m writing a letter or something formal...

Yeah. Sometimes I've different style when writing friends or family of course, but yeah all those you're/your grammar nazis when you 99% of the time can make it out anyway :^^^)

If someone "tlk?d lik dis" it would bother me because it's difficult to process. But short form is fine, as long as it's easy to understand. I don't expect people to type formally all the time, since I don't either. So I don't care if someone's grammar isn't perfect, or if they don't use commas, or don't capitalize letters they're supposed to. What bothers me more is massive run-on sentences with absolutely NO punctuation, that's such a headache to read. And When People Type Like This I Want To Choke.

I do prefer using proper grammar and spelling. I type in complete sentences when I text. Yes, I make mistakes, but I do my best to check and correct them.

Oh yes proper grammar is just a must for me.
More like only when it comes to school. I don't even type with proper grammar on this forum. I just don't think it's necessary unless it's for school. The only times I type this way is when I'm texting someone important or roasting someone because I'm pissed at them.
