This charity is on tumblr/twitter and it (sadly) hasn't got much love due to not many people not knowing about it so I wanted to help.
The short version is, the money you commission goes to an animal shelter in Russia where they're severely under funded. (it apparently rotates to other animal shelters)
They take the character or OC and pair them with a cat from the shelter and draw them together.
There are two different artists.
So how much is it?

Our small project has a big idea behind it. Although we're just two girls who have passion for nature and art, we want to make a difference in this cruel world.
There are so many homeless cats and dogs who suffer from people's indifference. Shelters don't have enough space and always experience a mighty need of money to survive. That?s why we?ve decided to become volunteers and representatives of those who can?t speak. And we call for YOUR help.
A small donation rewarded by a drawing could save someone?s life. The process is very simple: you write us a name of a character, we draw him or her with one of our fluffy fosterlings, and when you pay ALL the money goes to a shelter which is currently in our ward. We don't take a cent - it's not a commerce!
We don?t ask much, but even few dollars matter. Every person on the planet is responsible for destinies of those who once been domesticated. Let?s change the situation for the better; it?s much easier than you think. And we?ll be your thankful intermediaries.
