There's a villager I really like in my town right now... but she`s where I decided to build my cafe. :x I need to get rid of her but do want to get her again at some point, but I`m confused about a lot of things. If she leaves and no one takes her, she`s just deleted right? But I can still get the same villager just not the one I knew and who will recognize me right?

I also heard that villagers who move out can revisit you on Main Street... but let`s say the villager moves out and revisits main street, then I get the same villager again but not one who recognizes me... does that mean it`s possible to have two of the same villager, one on main steet who remembers you and one in your town who just met you? T_T I`m so confused... I don't want to have her leave and never be able to get her again (without trading).

I've met my current villagers in other towns and of course they don't recognize me.....
I'm unsure if the same (type of )villager will move back.
You can try getting a friend to take whoever you want then convincing that villager to come back when your town is ready for her.
Failing that you can try sweet talking clone in other towns to move to your town?

I don`t need her to recognize me to be happy... but I just don`t want to never be able to get the same villager again (as in a villager with the same name, not necessarily a villager who knows me).

Also your last advice doesn`t work at all, unless they`re about to move and you convince them to move to your town. Sweet talking them if they`re not planning on moving hasn`t been shown to do...well anything. ><

well you'll never know unless you've tried.
I've talked to this villager in my friend's town Once and she moved to my town!
She wasn't leaving when i talked to her. btw i hate her....T.T So now i will only talk to cute villagers in other towns or campers

Yeah and some people have had villagers move from their friends town and they never spoke to them... They avoided them on purpose and still got them. xD

Yes a villager you had previously CAN move into your town again.
I?m unsure if they will remember you though.

Ok thank you, gives me hope. :c...I love her. WHYYYYYYYYYYY. -punches self-

Although I hope you mean like... without wifi. xD Because I think the chances of me getting her from another town is slim, so I`m more hoping to get her again randomly or through campsite if it`s possible after I make her leave...

It would not make sense if you could not because you would eventually run out of new villagers to move in then :)
So the only logical answer is that it would be possible.

To make sure you can let her move to your friends town, and then when she moves again you can make her come back ;)
that would seem logical anyways.

If you REALLY liked her, you would just place your cafe elsewhere.

Just sayin' <.<

That`s not how it works... I have serious ocd about a lot of things in my life, and Animal Crossing definitely plays on that (most people are already very perculiar on their town layout and placement of things as it is without ocd in other parts of their life...). How in the World would it be logical for me to do what you suggest? I like her, but it`s not worth ruining my town for. Once the cafe is built, it`s forever unless I start over (which would mean she`ll most likely not be in my new town anyway, destroying the point). I`m not going to keep her and then regret the placement of my cafe forever. -__-; So no, you`re simply wrong. Sometimes getting what you want requires risks and I`m willing to take that risk if it`s possible to get her again later anyway.

@ForgottenT: Thanks for your advice. And actually I already worked out a deal to have her move in a friend`s town for a while. It`s just it might not be possible if she decides to move when his town is full. So I still wanted to know for the alternative.

if you don?t have space when she moves from your friends town, just make your friend tell her not to move, and then repeat until you have space :)

Oh that's not what I'm worried about. I'm worried about him not having space if she doesn't move soon, not me.

If you don't wifi or streetpass or trade with anyone else, she should be frozen in your game until she finds a home. But it's best to keep her in your town until your friend has space. Maybe work on other projects in the mean time?

Edit: Also, I wanted to know too, can you really get back your villagers if they moved away and you can visit them? Has anyone done so?

I use wifi a lot since many of my friends have the game too. x.x But yeah, for now I'm working on other projects... completed my lighthouse today.

I read you have the OCD thing and really want that caf? in that spot. My guess is if you lose a villager you lose it forever until maybe you went full circle and had ALL villagers in the game. But this is just pure speculation.

My advice, don't risk it. I could never run the risk of loosing my favourite villagers, even if you COULD get them back, the chances must be so insanely small, close to never small unless you manage to get the villager from a friend's village and even then it's not certain.

It's basically my only option if I want my Cafe in a nice spot really. o.o I already tried putting it in other places and saw the preview that Isabelle gave me. One other spot I like but it'd block my bridge location so that's a huge no since I have a specific place I want my bridge.

The chance isn't very small if you use the reset trick and campsite... x.x But that's only if it's possible to get them again of course.

I totally understand your OCD thing about town layout because I too have been obsessed where exactly everything goes and how my paths connect with each other.
My solution to this was to build other public works where I want future public works to go. Currently I have fences as place holders for spots I want my police station, bus stop, cafe and weather instrument shelter to go. Also have been building street lamps near my roads so that there isn't enough room for new villagers to build their house in empty spots. I don't TT so I've been slowly building my town.

In that case I suggest this if you are patient. have one of your friends who has space befriend your favourite villager, then when she says she wants to leave you say yes, your friend should keep coming over, there is a big chance the villager will move to THEIR town. Then you build the caf? there and repeat the process in reverse. Theoretically this should work and is your savest bet. IF villagers can move back!

Basically my only choice, I can only hope and try my best at this point. Thanks for the advice peepos.
