Question about selling in-game bells

Is it safe to sell IG bells if you have nearly 1 billion bells, even if you got it all from selling turnips or beetle farming? I mean, some people tend to have that much mainly due to the stalk market or selling villagers, but there are some people who get that many bells primarily from duping, powersaving, or scamming. Since the cheaters make money that way, does that mean that the non-cheaters like me are not allowed to sell IG bells when they have a billion?

Well, I don't dupe items, nor do I own external devices to my 3DS (except for a charger, but that doesn't count). I also play fair when I play online. So if I ever get up to that point, then it means either I sold turnips or I sold legitimate items through the trading boards.

I said that I don't cheat because someone said "sell it all you want", which made me think any bell is okay to sell. I believe that bells made from duped crowns or powersaving is considered "duped items".

i meant to say that it doesn't matter what amount you have. as long as you know you didn't dupe it, its okay. you're kinda overthinking this rule.

There's absolutely no way to tell how people have made their bells. There's no way to enforce the "duped items" rule regarding bells lol relax bruh.

The only reason why I asked is because people that have a billion bells and don't play long tend to get it from duping or powersaving, and I have been in a bad habit of profiling. If somebody makes it dangerous, then I am getting cautious about it.

I think it will show if you earned your money legit if you are decorated with badges. I know from experience because so many new players buy items at exorbitant prices and their only badge is a billionaire badge. Uh-huh. Legit money there.

Then again, if someone has a bunch of bells without badges that doesn't mean they didn't get them fairly. For example with me, I used to use the stock market a bunch. I switched over a BUNCH of bells to my new town before I reset that one. Does that mean I got the bells from cheating? Nope! Not trying to be rude just pointing that out.

Yep. But I usually use the Stalk Market since I dislike beetle farming and can't trade with people.

really tho, this thread didnt need to be made. you couldve just said in your marketplace thread that 'all my bells are legit from dong whatever' or not say it at all. you could answer if someone asked how you got them and you can prove it via showing a screenshot of your TPC

I guess that is also possible. Did you transfer 100m bells? Its just based from my experience because those people I meet who have the billionaire badge openly admit that they used powersaves. Lol
