Question about signatures

Hi, I've been trying to post an image into a spoiler in my sig and I've been having trouble. The image is animated, so I uploaded it to imgur and then copied the direct link and pasted it directly into the sig using the code

When I previewed the sig however, under the spoiler it just shows a little generic symbol for image (like a little page icon showing a hill and a cloud). What is the correct way to upload the picture? Thanks so much for any help that can be offered!

when you put the url you used the .gifv instead of .gif so that's why it didn't work ;o
