Question for Artists

Okay, okay. I'm not too confident in my art,
Well, speaking for a lot of artists out there too, with that statement.
But I am an artist.
And I find it HIGHLY rude when an artist talks rude to someone who just wants their art.
First off, If the person is asking for free art, and you don't feel like giving it to them for free, can you not get all sour about it? They took a chance to ask you for art and I think that takes guts because we all know how stubborn us artists can get.


But
If they talk rude to you first
And you respond negatively
You are no better than them.

politeness is important but come on guys if someone you didn't know just approached you and was like
"HEY can you do my homework for me???" or was like "can I have your lunch?" like it's best to respond politely but if you're offended/aggravated you kinda have a right to be it's kinda rude/entitled to just ask someone for a gift like that
i mean some artists take it too far in their reaction but it's also inconsiderate of the other person to just ask them for free art

ALso it's unbelievable how much people don't appreciate free art they've been given
it's not rude to ask like "do you take requests?" though

ive actually have never gotten mad I only get mad when people start to be inpatient about it and keep asking and asking
