Rainy's art thread

Yoooo whaaaaa no apologies necessary; this is so fantastic and cute! And thank you for feeding my Ketchup obsession! This was so detailed and personalized, I'm very grateful. šŸ„ŗ
Thank you! Iā€™m glad you like it! Iā€™ve had a lot of emotions this past week and your drawing gave me an outlet for them, so Iā€™m grateful and it turned out to be more than I expected šŸ’œ

My ghostly March. It doesnā€™t look the best, but I need to replace the tip on my apple pen itā€™s getting to be too frustrating to use at the moment. Drawing food is fun though, and helping me through my art block

I thought Iā€™d put my inktober stuff here. I just really love Halloween so Iā€™m like a kid in an candy store with it.

This is my clients turtle I was doodling before bed. Sheā€™s a three toed box tortoise that unfortunately was taken from the wild which I definitely donā€™t approve of because many do not want to eat and end up passing away if you do this. However this little one did and theyā€™ve had her for many years. I want to give it some more stylization before coloring it, but sheā€™s so derpy itā€™s cute.

I was going to post this when I was all finished or at least cleaned up the line art, but I may get distracted with the Christmas art exchange soon so, I thought id post it now. My donut chibi I struggle a lot with hair and arms and poses for some reason, but little chibi hands and clothes are fun to draw.

Hey everyone I thought Iā€™d share a lineart technique I recently learned and I would not have learned if it wasnā€™t for someone else sharing it. I could not find who originally shared it on deviant art otherwise I would credit them, but I will edit this if I can find it again. Anyway, happy drawing everyone

1. Draw your line art in black
2. Duplicate the line art and hide the new layer for now.

3. Choose a color for your original lineart color and change it. Doesnā€™t matter what color you choose as long as itā€™s a lighter color.

4. Lower the opacity. The amount is up to you, youā€™ll want to experiment and use what looks best to you.

5. Next go to the duplicate layer and set it to overlay. Now anything you draw underneath these two layers will change colors. This is very useful if you want to match the line art to the colors youā€™re drawing and itā€™s just an overall fun thing to experiment with for added effects. Iā€™ve even added things between the layers as well. Or shade in black in you original line art to save some time instead of using a multiply layer.
