I subscribe to the retrogaming reddit (mostly for info because I do estate sales sometimes) and it's neat to see all the games and stuff people come across and when the find something they've really wanted for awhile, it's even better.
I think the rarest games I have are Zelda spirit tracks and Zelda phantom hourglass.
I'm looking to own Okamiden, I'm playing a borrowed one now to see if I like it, and the cheapest one's are in Japanese! ($15 usd) The NA version is $25+!
I guess I could learn japanese.
I also want the funky paintbrush stylus, but that's another $15+!
BUT the art to collecting is infinite patience and after all, it's the thrill of the hunt!

(Yes, I know it's 'Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass or Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, don't be that person the pops out of some crack in the wall to correct me about this, nobody likes you. go away)
((Yes, some random preppy literally vaulted the ps2 game case at my game store to correct me.)

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for me. Never managed to get Radiant Dawn though, that's a bit too rare for me (I was hoping that it would be on the Wii U's VC but rip that dream).

I also used to have Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol but I ended up losing it... What was the reason behind making that game Walmart exclusive again, if there even was one?

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure lol. Well if it counts, I guess Fire Emblem Fates: Special Edition and it's still sealed. I also have those two Zelda DS and Okamiden.

I'm not certain which is the rarest, but going by prices people tend to sell them for the rarest games I own are a boxed copy of EarthBound from back when the game was released, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I don't think I own any other rare games.

Not a Nintendo game, but Rule of Rose is probably the rarest game I have on my shelf right now. It sells for around $200 in English (the Japanese, region coded version is more common and can be purchased for around $70) and copies are hard to come by because it didn't sell many, but it's a really good cult classic.

As far as Nintendo goes, I have a lot of the classic Nintendo games for the N64 and GameCube. Like I know Super Smash Bros. Melee goes for around $70 and Majora's Mask for the N64 can go for around $50, but I don't feel as though they are rare, just really good games. I also have most of the Zelda titles, but I never bought Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks. I've played them, but never cared for them enough to get any DS titles aside from A Link Between Worlds. Sadly, I've given away Animal Crossing: Population Growing.

I strongly prefer retro games to newer ones, so I'm always going to second-hand shops to find games :) I tend to go for Shin Megami Tensei games and horror games the most, which can sometimes be pretty rare because they have more of a cult classic following than mainstream interest. I have a friend who bought a Japenese Super Famicon just to play some of the Shin Megami Tensei titles that never got released in English.

I have boxes and boxes of Nintendo carts that were my moms and mine, the only one I can think of that is worth a lot is Snow Bros. I haven’t gone through them recently though so I’m sure there’s some treasure in there.

According to RarityGuide, here are a few of the titles I own that whose rarity is 75% or higher:

  • The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (84%)
  • Mario Party 6 (78%)
  • Fire Emblem (76%)
  • Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (76%)

I bought them the year they released, and had no idea that these would end up being tricky to find.

I have a decent Gamecube collection, including:

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (Promotional Disc)
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Kart: Double Dash
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Animal Crossing

And I have Fire Emblem (2003) for GBA still - I've played through it so many times.
I used to have a decent N64 collection but Ashton and I ended up selling it to buy an Xbox 360 I think haha

Oh wow according to this website the rarest game I have is... Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix at 93%. I kinda forgot I had that tbh. Path of Radiance is at 84%, and Pikmin 2 is at 86%, idk how I forgot that game when making my first post.

I have ChuChuRocket!, Super Hornet F/A18F, Final Fantasy Adventure for GBC, Ms. Pacman color edition for GBC, Lego Starwars for GBA.
They all game with my Game boy color (lime) I got for $20 at a yardsale.

Probably chibi robo since no one freaking buys it and im one of the few people to actually have bough one lmao

I think the rarest game I own right now is either Death Squared physical version for the Switch which goes for upwards of $300 right now, or BotW Master Edition which goes for upwards of $500 lol

I have a copy of ET: The Extraterrestrial for Atari 2600.

I kind of want to get a Philips CDI with all the games, just so I can experience them for myself. When it comes to good games, I would like the Japanese exclusive Animal Crossing titles.

Digimon world 4
ye that's about it lol.

Checked out the RarityGuide but it only showed NTSC-U games. I think Bangai-O for the Dreamcast was at 95% for the US version. I have no idea if the PAL-version (which I own) is that rare though.

I've also got the PAL-versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Secret of Mana which are at least rarer than their US/Japanese counterparts. Kinda hard to tell how rare they are but they usually go for a pretty penny.
