gave 7, feel like it's the most polished by far but they stripped so much. cautiously optimistic for updates like most

Am I the only one who's still on fence leaning to not liking it? I think it's pretty, I like that it's a mainline. But it feels to me as if the games have been slowly losing character and this one feels totally and completely bland to me :( I do think it's good, but also I think it might be a 3/4 for me personally ;-;

I honestly feel the same way... The villagers dialogue is abysmally boring, the crafting is too unrefined and all the quirkiness is gone. This almost doesn't feel like Animal Crossing anymore

So far I'd give it an 8...and those 2 points I've deducted is mainly because of the 10 villager limit and the lack of some iconic NPCs and features like gyroids and pitfall seeds.

You'll be happy to know that pitfall seeds actually exist. Someone on Reddit found a DIY recipe for them. Seems like you make them yourself this time.

I gave it 8/10 because I was disappointing with the villager limit, the size of the island, and many other small things, but I still like it! I will probably bump it up to 10/10 quickly if more content gets added in, as it is still to early to give an actual opinion just yet.

I'm so relieved someone else feels this way! All I could find were rave reviews and poor reviews from people who wanted it as a family game. No one seems truly dissatisfied with it. Maybe it will get better. I'm not sure the amount of customization is good for me, I kind of *liked* the randomness. The villagers just feel bland and boring now and not like they have their own lives at all.

10 stars babyyy it's a mastapeeeceeee

7-8. I'm really enjoying it but there are some things I'm hoping are patched in like all of the missing fruit? Or the ability to craft batches. Also, even though it doesn't pertain to me the multiplayer on one switch system wasn't entirely thought out I feel. Player two really is too limited.

I'll say 8 for now till I see more of everything and if certain things change with dlc.

9/10

A couple of things that bug me; firstly, the game should run at 60 FPS - when you run horizontally, you get that slight blurring that you wouldn't get with a 60 FPS game. Secondly, I've been to 3 Islands (Nook miles tickets) and everyone has had the same native fruit and flowers that my Island does. What on earth is the point of this?

8 for now. I absolutely love the game but the character dialogue feels terribly drab. Hoping it gets better over time.

Really high. 9 for me so far. This game just suits my play style the best out of everything they came out with in the series. Just the absence of grass deterioration alone makes this game almost perfect for me. The nook miles + mini goals keeps me playing without feeling like I’m grinding for bells (e.g. looking for a blue marlin earned me so much bells without knowing it I just wanted to get that goal done). The villagers are so alive and interactions with them keep me engaged. I just wanna see what they’re up to all the time. Also, I sleep very well knowing I have things under control in terms of choosing plots for villagers moving in and having the freedom to move things later if I wanted to. Because of all these, I play more now than I ever did in previous games.

No grass deterioration and choosing where villagers move in are two really great features I'm glad they included.

As of right now I'd give it an 8. Took points off because I'm not a huge fan of crafting and the villager dialogue isn't the best. Still loving it though!

I gave it a 9 because I simply enjoy what's there and I could do the Animal Crossing grind forever. The graphics are amazing and replacing PWP with items is perfect. I feel like this and terraforming makes it feel like playing a hacked town in New Leaf.

I voted 10.
It's my first animal Crossing game that I decided to dedicate a lot of time... and I'm loving it. It makes me forget the coronavirus thing and time flies.
I'm supper happy with it, and I can't wait to see what will happen in the future.

Gave it a 9. There is so much to do and I love the crafting and customization options. It looks very charming and I can see myself sinking a lot of time in it. It can only get better with time and events coming. Can`t wait to start terraforming someday either.

My score is 8 right now, but that can change as more content gets added. I deducted points only because there are a few things I am not happy with, but overall I am enjoying it so I try not to focus too much on the things that bug me...I am looking at you broken tools !
